All you need to know about the Pats disguising blitzes is Sam's face, happy feet, and rushed throws during the game. He was completely lost and not wanting to get hit again. I have no idea WTF Gase is talking about.

I was all in on McCarthy from the beginning....so I knew they would choose someone else.

The most insane part about the McCarthy snub is the guy actually said the only job he was interested in was as Jets' HC. So, of course, we said no thanks to an eventual HOF HC. And why not? We had wunderkind/Just-fired-from-Miami Adam Gase waiting in the wings. Idiots.
Let's start with the obvious premise that the OL is very bad. That being said, Darnold is exhibiting some worrisome traits with dumb plays and deer-in-a-headlight behavior in pressure-filled games against good defenses. However, Gase certainly doesn't seem to be doing anything to help Sam in such situations, and he is also demonstrating a disturbing inability to do in-game adjustments, an essential skill of a good coach.
So, I fully understand the concern of most fans here that Darnold might be ruined before he proves (or disproves) he can be The One.
We are in a desperate state where this franchise needs to take important developmental steps forward as opposed to taking part in horror shows like yesterday.

If you were around back in the 80s, Darnold's happy feet, ducking and dump throws reminded me of a shell shocked Ken O'Brien. He was a very good QB who was destroyed weekly by an awful HC scheme and O Line.

Maybe Gase is a QB whisperer but as a HC he has proven to be completely incompetent.

Funny how most of us were probably think after the Dallas win that maybe Gase isn't so bad. He just needed his QB back. Now after one devastating lose, here we go again with the FIRE Gase stuff, LOL!
I personally don't blame anyone for feeling that way and I'm trying my hardest not to and give the guy a chance till the end of next year at least. However; I must admit it's not easy to think that way with the way they got destroyed last night and the three games without Darnold.
