Its players like this that make me hate the NFL. Social media makes me hate people even more.
You lost me there. Can you trade for newly drafted players? If so, CD Lamb plus Connor McGovern, and Cowboys can have Adams.
he wants Cowboys Connor McGovern, not give away our Connor McGovern lol...You lost me there.
You can trade new draft picks, but you want to give Adam's and McGovern in exchange for lamb?
left, right or up the middle this kid is emotionally disturbed... first he wanted to make the team a winner then covid-19 happened and he wanted his money then he stayed off twitter but was a nuisance on Instagram spouting nonsense and getting into fights with probably not Jets fans and got pulled into stating something he shouldn't of...
my estimation there is a bigger problem and it is Gase, the way he relates to everyone that is not the starting QB...
if we trade him, make sure we come out on top of this mess... we have a luxury prospect who looks like he can become the real deal but we need to get this house in order before all the players like Trumaine Johnson will sign a deal and never show up on the field and this organization will remain the circus that it became when Rex Ryan was here... Not bashing Ryan's stint just the circus that occurred while he was the head man snacking every five minutes...
Joe Douglas has to figure out, career over friendship because that will be the decision he will have to make when this shit show goes entirely wrong...
The 2nd year OG out of Penn State who is on the Cowboys roster. Didn't realize we had a Connor McGovern; do you mean Connor McDermott?he wants Cowboys Connor McGovern, not give away our Connor McGovern lol...
No ,I was referring to our new centerThe 2nd year OG out of Penn State who is on the Cowboys roster. Didn't realize we had a Connor McGovern; do you mean Connor McDermott?
Ok, I'm the dummy. Need to memorize the roster - thanks! No ,I was referring to our new center
Connor McGovern at LG, Connor McGovern at center, Connor McDermott at RT could get confusing.Ok, I'm the dummy. Need to memorize the roster - thanks!
Other players have forced a trade and still brought a nice return, just last season Ramsey was traded for two first and a 4th. If Adam's does hold out, his trade value will diminish .And now because of Adams shenanigans ( I love that word ) other teams will try and squeeze the Jets knowing what's at hand. Nobody is going to give up an arm and a leg now . They all know he wants out and the Jets are stuck with him at this point.
The Jets ars fucked and they hold all the cards , unbelievable
I really hope they don't give him what he wants , make him play as a disgruntled player and let the rest of the league see that.
Oh and by the way , I thought only the first family of football can demand where they want to go and play :
The Mannings
1st Horsehead , then Eli , more shenanigans
Maybe Adams should call Archie for some advice.

They can certainly do that, lose Adam's after in free agency and hope to get a third round compensatory pick depending upon what Free Agents you sign. This is all bullshit. Adams tried to orchestrate a trade out of here before the draft. It didn't work then and it won't work now. If I were the Jets I would hold onto to him as long as possible. I would exercise the option AND then I would franchise his azz every chance I got. You want to play hardball? Show prez what that really means.
using those numbers, that makes this a tough decision. I dont like letting players dictate what team they play for. it makes it harder for crappy teams like ours to ever have good players while belichick has just spent 20 years offering players less money for a superbowl ring. then again, it would suck to pay Adams a lot for 2 years and then get nothing for him after. They can certainly do that, lose Adam's after in free agency and hope to get a third round compensatory pick depending upon what Free Agents you sign.
The thing is, they save some money this year, but next year is his option year and salary is based on his 4 year performance, per the new CBA. All rookie team year one pro bowl and all pro years 2 and 3. Top under 25, voted 37th best player in the league. His salary will likely equal franchise tag money next season. Then they tag him in 2022, giving him 120% raise, tag him again at 144% in 2023. So he makes the same money, possibly a little more than he would have with an extension, and you have a disgruntled star, more drama surrounding the team and you get a late third or nothing in return. In the long run, what does it accomplish?

tough decision for Douglas but it doesnt really need to be made right now
