The rookie Adams had a mixed outing against the Bills as he struggled in run defense, but flashed ability in pass coverage. While he was beat for a long gain by Charles Clay early in the game, Adams made up for it by breaking up a pass and stopping Clay short of the sticks on a third down. Adams played 75 snaps, but only 19 came at safety, which led to some of his struggles against the run as he had to face Buffalo’s offensive linemen in the box.

Why draft a tiny player to play linebacker? And when he plays linebacker so poorly, why take a Safety to play linebacker?

It's obvious this team has a serious problem in the middle of the field. In the very heart of their defense, their second line of defense, these guys are not cutting it. The CS sees this and tries to compensate by playing DE's as a stand up linebacker or a safety as a linebacker.

I'm all about versatility and if this were about merely versatility and showing the offense different looks, keeping them off balance? That would be great. But this isn't about that, it's about trying to compensate for poor drafting and poor coaching.

The mistakes this front office has made are really beginning to stack up. They've stacked up for years prior, but specifically for this front office they are really beginning to look terrible.

Why draft a tiny player to play linebacker? And when he plays linebacker so poorly, why take a Safety to play linebacker?

Makes more sense in a 4-man front to have smaller, more athletic LBs. These smaller guys would be better off playing in that type of system.

It is getting a bit much for this coaching staff to continue to misuse the talent the team has.

way to early to get a read on morton.. perhaps impossible, if what's his face is handcuffing his game plans..
