I wish I could find my source about how few players have been extended at this point. The article listed many players, bigger stars at more important positions who have NOT been extended.

at this point, he hasnt done that and I have not seen any quotes from him that state that that is the case. Everything that I have seen is the media trying to start crap as usual. If he ends up pulling a Revis, then I will call the kettle black. you can't blame anyone for wanting to make as much as they can and for wanting a long term contract and if you don't play the money game, you don't get the money

Did the media try to start crap last year when Adams had a hissy fit because Douglas *quite correctly* listened when Dallas inquired about Adams? Was this made up by the media? Of course you haven’t recently seen quotes from Adams about this recently. You hire an agent who leaks what the player wants, so that the player doesn’t seem greedy. The agents get paid to take the shit. Have you seen any quotes from Adams stating that he is NOT demanding an extension now? Why not?
I don’t blame anyone for wanting the money. I blame him for wanting it *now!* I blame Adams for wanting to get out of his contact that is based on the collective bargaining agreement agreed to by his union. I blame him for feeling entitled to an extension after his third year. During a pandemic. Again, only 16 of 223 players in his third year situation got extensions.
By the way, I was and remain a proud union man.

Two of the players who had to wait until after their 4th year to get an extension were Aaron Donald and Khalil Mack! Still can’t find the article where I saw this information, but I believe that Bosa also had to wait that long.

the only reason (IMHO) adams wouldn't be in favor of taking his talents to new england is because he knows belichick wouldn't entertain his bullshit..

I didn't read in to what he said last year in as bad a way as others did. I think agents do what agents want, more so than what players want. It's all about the money for them too. These guys are 20 something year old boys. they don't always do the right things and the adult thing. Just like us back when we knew it all.

I'm not gonna hate the kid yet. that's all. others can if they want. I'm also for trying to keep our good players that we draft

I also liked Sheldon Richardson a lot. I thought he was just a kid who was used to winning and hated being a loser on this team. Most will not agree with me on him either. Again, these are 20 something year old boys living in a mans world with a lot of money. that combination allows for a lot of bad shit

well, he hasn't sold his soul yet , so I'm not gonna hold it against him yet. all he's done so far, that I know, is not take part in a virtual, voluntary workout and want a contract extention

adams father played in the NFL.. he's been exposed to what the league is all about his entire life.. if he's getting played by his agent it's out of willful ignorance..

As far as Adams trying to force his way out my old fart wisdom tells me not to believe most of those articles claiming he wants a deal or to be traded. Things, mostly because of this pandemic, are moving terribly slow at this time and these reporters don't have anything to print to keep their names in the headlines. This has resulted in a bunch of bullshit articles hitting the web. When I actually hear with my own two ears that he says to the Jets pay me big time or trade me then I will believe it. I would be willing to bet that if you looked hard enough you would discover that there were other teams holding up on extensions etc because of the uncertainty of finances at this time.
