If Jared Goff gets by Dallas at #4 ....

Maybe we can package Wilkerson and the 20th Pick to Jacksonville (5) or Baltimore (6) to move up for Goff?

Either spot puts us ahead of the 49ers at 7, where they would definitely take Goff if he fell that far.

And both teams, Jax and Balt, have big needs on their D-lines, and neither wants to draft a QB.

Goff is worth that in your opinion?

sorry Ham, but no way in hell...

and what I have heard the 49ers aren't high on Goff, they are focusing on a CB Hargreaves & ILB Ragland...

But we all things could change, pro days are starting today and we will see who's stock goes up or down from here...

Moving up for a QB is always problematical because you are buying a pig in a poke.
Connor Cook looks like he'll be around at #20 anyway, so HYATT™ would just sit tight and hope for a break.
Yeah, HYATT™ seems obsessed with Cook.
It iz wot it iz.
#1 Son is all over Wentz, but N.D. St.?
Talk about punching above yer weight class, that kid is going to be a multi-year project, similar to Romo coming out of Eastern Illinois.

I don't think Macc is moving up for a QB. Not in this draft. I disagree with Mayock's comparisons of Wentz and Lynch to Luck and Flacco, respectively. I don't see a slam dunk with any of this year's top QB's. North Dakota State is one step up from a community college. And Goff is going to need a year to bulk up a little and learn the NFL game. California ran a similar style of offense to the spread offense, which has a lot of shot gun, and doesn't require a lot of reads. Some people are concerned about Goff's hand size, and attribute that to the fumbles in college. Goff would probably be an ideal fit in warmer SF.

I like Wentz and Goff, but I'd actually wait and see if Paxton Lynch falls to us. He'd be worth the risk as a developmental QB alongside Petty.

Was just looking on 247Jets, it claims that the Giants are offering the Jets their 1st this season (10th overall) and their 2nd in 2017 and their 2nd in 2018. If there's any truth to that, I say TAKE IT and run. By my way of thinking it's better than nothing and if the Jets front office waits too long, they will get NOTHING for him.

I find this extremely hard to believe. That said, if it's true it's a no-brainer. Take the picks and run!

And in other news...

The Seahawks are offering anyone who's interested Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, and Earl Thomas for a couple of sixth round draft picks.

Saw it posted from some dude with the screen name "sucka2believe".

The way mac wheeled and dealed the Marshall trade, I can't imagine what he would turn mo into.
All things being equal, I'd rather trade Richardson for his character issues, but they aren't equal. Mo is the biggest cap problem who also happens to be a commodity. We have too many dt's. Williams and Richardson with Harrison and a young blood pass rusher at olb paired with Mauldin, would be a formidable d. And trading mo gives us the cash to keep that line together for 5 years almost.

I don't ever recall saying anything even remotely close to that regarding Milliner. As a matter of fact, I said he's on his last chance to prove he's not an injury-prone bust this season. That's a far cry from Savior status.

well, you did try to make it sound like bowles suddenly thinks milliner can win cromartie's old spot..

milliner is still (thank goodness) under contract, so what else would bowles say?? the truth that he has no shot at winning the job??

Idk if the lack of news regarding Mo, Fitz and Snacks should worry me or not!

What are we doing with these guys.

I would hate to get into Milliner in this thread but maybe with a full year of rehab, he can slowly work his way back to being a good role player. I wouldn't count on him for anything though.

Perhaps, but I'd rather have Dee on the roster over Cro, any day of the week, and so does the front office

If people want to fault me for being an optimist, that's fine. I'm almost convinced Milliner isn't going to pan out, but willing to give him one last shot based on the fact that he's here one more year (minimum). I realize that coaches sometimes are coy about their true feelings regarding certain players. But Bowles specifically mentioned Milliner, Williams, and McDougle when referencing the #2 CB spot next season. You guys can kill me all you want for rooting for the kid, but Bowles obviously hasn't give up yet on Milliner, either.

Just a guess here, but I'm pretty sure negotiations are on-going with Fitz and Snacks. Of the three, I'm most confident in re-signing Fitz. It makes too much sense for both sides to make it happen. Snacks has said he wants a fair deal, and very much likes playing for Bowles, so that's encouraging. Unless some idiotic team gives him 10 million + per, I see him coming back to the Jets. Wilkerson is a mystery to me. I'm having a hard time envisioning a team surrendering high draft picks, AND paying him 15 million per, when this draft has an abundance of defensive linemen projected for the first couple of rounds. We might lose Mo next year for nothing other than a comp pick. That's sobering.

aside from the jets being on the hook for 4 million next season, nothing points to bowles having a epiphany on milliner continuing to be anything but the last CB on the depth chart..

how many more times must it be pointed out milliner didn't take one snap at corner while cromartie's struggled both health & gameplay wise the last 8 weeks of last season??

...continue whatever the hell you call yourself doing on said subject.. I'm done reacting to it..

Let's just say, if he had a slow learning curve and a fluke injury, he should be ready to kick ass this year. He's been in pro defenses for 3 years now, the same as Richardson.

My a$$ you didn't. I said he was an injured, useless bum. You responded protecting him like you would protect your girlfriend. It's a FACT. Go look it up.
