Can everyone stop talking about Revis taking less money for the honor of playing with the Patriots? They make it sound like he should be paying them for such a privilege to play at Foxboro.

Darrelle Revis has, for his entire career, shown himself to be all about the money. Why would he be anything else now? For that matter, who would be dumb enough to expect him to be about anything but the money? It's like waking up tomorrow and expecting grass to no longer be green.

Revis is definitely about the money. No argument there. But big picture, he's gonna get paid regardless of where he goes. Yes, the Jets can pay him more than the Patriots. But I still believe that NE will tinker with it's payroll and make room for both Revis and McCourty. Players like Wilfork are being dumped, and Brady's restructuring to create space. Revis knows the Patriots are still kings of the division.

It pains me to say it. But I see what's happening here. I'd be SHOCKED if Revis left NE without a deal.

Exactly. Does anyone remember when he played for the Bucs and was asked if he would rather the 16 million a year or be on a winning team and he stated that "16 million everytime."
That is who Revis is, if the Patriot fans and scribes want to try and convince themselves of something different go watch hardknocks M-Fer's.

What Woody said is not tampering..he said Revis was a great player and they would be interested if available .....he could say he like AARON RODGERS, JJ WATT ..and if were available he would be interested..its real bullshit to be honest
