As depressing as Monday night was. Common sense says don't overreact. We do have a lot of good young kids on our team. I think the coaches should be in the hot-seat We are repeatedly outcoached and appear unprepared mentally and physically. We should be proactive and invest a long term deal with Adams. He is our Ronnie Lott. We cannot afford to lose him due to stupidity.
Adams seems to be one of the few guys playing with passion. If I have to lose 10-12 games again this year, I want to see those players who are busting their a___. He might make mistakes, but I do not criticize him for giving his all on every play.
LOLz oh that depends strongly on where on the internet you are at the moment!!! LOLz all kinds of PFF listings of how he's almost equally as good in space as playing in the box..Appreciate what you're saying. But without Montana, Rice, Craig and Clark they are winning nothing. I love Ronnie Lott (Mr. Whoo Hit), but like Adams, safeties don't bring a team championships. They are a phenomenal luxury, but you can live with an average one. And while we're talking, I think Adams is a great hitter/intimidator. But he's a joke in coverage.

he's almost a folk hero for some jet fans & essentially unanimously crowned as the next all time great safety by the national football media..
almost seems contrived.. to me, anyway..
still haven't watched a nanosecond after 24-0, but i'd move adams in a nanosecond for anything to help fix the inevitable OL disaster maccagnan insisted on leaving the jets with..I think he's great and also appreciate his passion. I just think we nned a bunch of players on offense to finally build a winner. If we could get a number of picks or a great player for him I'd do the trade. It just makes "economic" sense.
My wife has to hear me flip out every week when the TV guys absolutely fawn over Adams (and Darnold when he's actually playing). They don't deserve it yet.
You're right, it is contrived. An effort by the league to build up certain players. Look, I like Adams. But WTF has he actually done? Made some hits? Sure. But best safety in the NFL? Pump the brakes, folks.
So it's tough looking for individual accomplishments when the team is doing so bad, but the #1 Safety in the league wasn't contrived, it was based on his ratings on the position (he graded higher than all other safety's).
Like him, don't like him, hate the team, blame him because we suck, whatever you want to do. But at the end of the day, the numbers are the numbers and those don't lie.

Hard to evaluate talent on such a bad team. How would Adams look if he had NFL caliber CBs playing in front of him?
right now he is worth only one bag of nuts...Maybe we can get a fifth for Darnold.
hell, since we're wheelin' & dealin', how about if we see if someone, anyone is willing to part ways with a bag of rocks for woody & woody's brother??Maybe we can get a fifth for Darnold.

Thanks for not saying "sack".
