Jets claim QB Luke Falk on waivers from Miami

[h=3]Jets claimed QB Luke Falk off waivers from the Dolphins.[/h]
Hyped as far as sixth-rounders go, Falk was waived by the Titans at final cuts last season before spending the year as a reserve in Miami. Falk is a camp arm who could perhaps make a dark horse run at a 53-man roster spot.

Falk was a good waiver claim, first because I liked him as a QB in college, but more importantly because he already knows Gase's system better than any other QB on the roster, so Sam or Siemian can pick his brain if necessary. It's always good to have one QB on the roster who already knows the HC's playbook and verbiage. Davis Webb is probably a goner. The Giants knew they were going to need a young QB soon. It's doubtful they make him vulnerable to get snatched if he was any good. Plus we wouldn't have signed Siemian if Webb was any good.
