Jets are locked in at #2 pick-no matter what.
Would love to beat the Browns, and make Baker pout.
But--- We don't want Sam to be "too good", the Jets might keep him. Good kid, but a "southern California" qb who we know what he can do. For both our sakes, let him fare well, but not in N.Y.

Don't give up....look the Jags loose & it stinks for the Jets But It could even be worse for the Cardinals......will 123 years of failure start to change this weekend....we will see.

It went from 75% to 25% of getting #1 pick. However, after that statistic, Marrone decided to "rest" his RB, Robinson. Rest? In week 16...puhleeze!

Sorry but we don't know what Darnold can do. We know what he can do with a shitty roster and an even worse coaching staff. No reason to not see what he can do next year with a true #1 WR or another blue chip OL piece or two. And a better coaching staff. If he shows promise we can still franchise him. Not many options at this point. Unless Fields blows away Trevor and the Jags panic and take Fields, we have no shot at a QB worth taking at #2. Don't forget the Browns will not have their top WR's due to COVID.

With the #2 pick? That WOULD be another Jets head-scratcher.

Trade down with Cincy (so they get Sewell) and take Pitts with the #3. See what Sam looks like with a security blanket available for ten-yard completions. Some say we should take Sewell, but I've read elsewhere that top left tackles are paid a lot more than RTs so we'd have to explain to Becton or Sewell why they're not getting the extra money. Besides I prefer to take ballers rather than guys who sit out the season.
