From @NFLGameDay: #Jets not inclined to clean house with coach Todd Bowles. But expect a very different team with many big-money vets gone.......

That's the actual quote from Twitter.

It says on the SB nation link that the Jets DO plan on cleaning house, but Todd Bowles will keep his job?

How the hell do you clean house and NOT fire the HC? That means that every single coach under Todd Bowles gets fired??? Talk about throwing your own coaches under the bus?! Todd Bowles must be the master of passing the buck.

Barring a total collapse??????????? What part of this season has given anyone any indication that this season is anything other than a TOTAL collapse??? Really the only game the Jets can win for the rest of the season is today's game. If they lose that, they will finish the season at 3-13. There's no way they'll ever beat teams like Miami, Buffalo (Rex will likely beat the Jets by 30. He has revenge on his mind and really there's no way the Jets should have ever won against Buffalo to begin with), and the Patsies??? The Patsies will beat this pathetic shitty team with 3rd stringers............

I wish to god they would just shit can everyone except Mac. Allow Mac to hire whom ever he wants to and go from there..........

When I read this, I checked the calendar to see if this was April Fools Day.

Are we entering some alternate universe where the inmates are running the asylum?

If he is allowed to return, it will be the worst decision in world history since Napoleon invaded Russia.*

Later

* = Ok, maybe that was a slight exaggeration. But only a slight one.

If the jets go 3-13 and the Texans also don't make it to the playoffs.. I fully expect Houston to cut ties with Jim O'Brien and for Maccagnan to pursue him very hard. Especially that they have a very good relationship and his familiarity to develop Christian Hackenberg.

Keeping Bowles is fine, now that I've cooled off. I wanted Bowles & Mikey Mac so 1 more year to see if they can Draft right & get Players to play hard. If GM wastes another year of Draft picks like he did last Draft then he needs to be fired. Bowles I feel needs to look in the mirror & decide if he is going to be a head Coach & control his OC & DC making them play his style & discipline, or allow them both to do the same BS as this season. Bowles needs to let both coordinators know who is Boss. This means Gailey on the field in touch with players.

WOW. That would be great if it can happen? What is ownership in Houston saying?

I thought a total collapse is what has been happening. And how do you collapse from the basement, anyway?

I'm not 100% on firing Bowles, but I'm not pleased with a lot of what he has done. I absolutely want to keep Mac, but a win-now bunch of veterans is NOT how I want to go.

not sure what to think of his tenure w the Texans. I'd bring him in though as an OC and see what he can do with Hackenberg

Yeah because he has been so successful with the Texans.

Well lets think about this for a second and correct me if I'm wrong, but HCing hires don't usually come with an HC that has a winning resume from one team to the next. Or else he would still be with his current team. Now, of course, you have the HC that has retired a winner and then comes back after a few years (Parcells type of scenario.) Then you have the HC that primarily successful but gets fired after a few bad seasons (Coughlin type of scenario). Then you may have the rare trade of a successful HC. Primarily, new HC hires are fresh new OC or DC on other NFL teams or a hot college HC that gets his first or second chance in the NFL or a HC that wasn't very good at his prior NFL spot and got fired. So how would this be any different if the Texans fired O'Brien and we hired him?
