I wonder how much the Jets will be fined for hiding the Quigley injury

You can do a lot worse than Weatherford in terms of punters.

Never understood why we let him go to begin with. The punting game should get better.

Fuck Weatherford. Talked all that shit about the Jets, after he couldn't even finish a damn playoff game because he wasn't feeling well. Bet you'll talk nice about the team now they're paying your rent, huh? I'll hope he plays well while he's with us, but I don't like him and never will.

Weatherford was a good punter but wasn't a good directional punter which is why Westhoff cut him loose. We should have waited to find a replacement before cutting him though.

he's by far the best out there right now. Jets are very fortunate he's available. Wasn't to long ago he was cut so his leg should still be in decent shape

Weatherford called by #Jets pro personnel scout Greg Nejmeh while radio show was in break. Said yes, then rushed off phone as show went live

Jets punter Steve Weatherford, playing his first game since the preseason, said he punted only three times over the previous six weeks. The last time was last Sunday, in a park, with his 7-year-old snapping the ball. "It was exciting to come here and play," he said, "but it was a rough, rough day." Weatherford, signed yesterday to replace the injured Ryan Quigley, averaged 40.3 yards on four punts. But, hey, he made $51,000 for one day's work.

That's terrible. It showed.
