Okay simple each round listed for the New York Jets there will be key prospects to choose from. Top 5 prospects ranked around the Jets selections for you to choose from. Let's see which way you will take the Jets as General Manager building the team for the now and the future. No trades, straight selection each round choose wisely.

2nd Round: 51st Overall


3rd Round: 83rd Overall

With this list above this is what I would do.

The majority of the first three rounds, everyone should be able to find links to prospect analysis reports with highlights, vitals and scouting information to better help decide what to do.

Now I know I have been talking up taking Eli Apple in 1st round for some time but in this mock due to the current prospect rankings he might not be around at 20. Some are mocking him to go as early as 11th to Chicago to tandem up with Kyle Fuller.

So here it goes:

R1:20 WR Tyler Boyd, Pittsburgh - Boyd will bring another hands catcher like Brandon Marshall allowing Eric Decker to stay inside and be the slot receiver. Yes we don't know what is going on with Devin Smith but he is a long way off from competing at this level.

Like with round 1, in round 2 have been talking up Alex Collins, RB from Arkansas.

R2:51 OT John Theus, Georgia - Theus had an outstanding Combine and boosted his tape from a mid third round to a late second ranked prospect and making him too good to pass up.

Even tho, taking a tackle in the second everyone could agree that we need more than one tackle moving forward.

R3:83 OT Kyle Murphy, Stanford - Another versatile tackle, the Jets could really develop two stable offensive lineman to have over the next decade.

Erin Henderson is suppose to be the WILL inside linebacker if they ever get a deal done on an extension. There is no clear depth behind Henderson. It could be assumed that Taiwan Jones would be the heir apparent to David Harris, so drafting someone to eventually taking over for EH should be in the plans.

R4:115 ILB Scooby Wrightt III, Arizona - Doesn't have ideal height but his production sideline to sideline is unparalleled. Scooby is unique, able to play coverage while is a physical presence against the run. He could develop into a dependable starter down the line.

R5:145 CB Cyrus Jones, Alabama - Looking for depth to develop.

R7:209 RB Peyton Barber, Auburn - If no one has heard about this kid yet, then it is a feel good story. A red shirt sophomore leaves school to the NFL because his mother is currently homeless and he wants to provide for her. Does he have talent, yes and is a versatile receiving back that could develop into another Bilal Powell type running back.

no issue with drafting a WR at 20.. smith will be entering season two the way he did season one.. off an injury & frankly the kid never "flashed" his rookie season, unless you want to count his "redzone" TD..

drafting two tackles who can both be future answers on the left & right side of the OL?? yes please..

waiting to address our needs at RB with the 209th pick give me pause.. that said, when i do my mock draft, it will be based on re-signing powell & letting ivory walk..
