Jets frustrated with Richardson over Snapchat post

Here's the difference between a franchise like ours and the Cowboys, we draft Wilkerson and Richardson and they are both HOF type talents but not living up to it. While the Cowboys pick up a 23 year old undrafted player off the Chiefs waiver wire and he is turning out to be a beast. Can't remember his name but he is a 6'7", 285 lbs monster DE that will probably be the next mean joe green for them. I know mean joe green didn't play for the Cowboys but you get my point.

His name is David Irving.. He did look good but the Cowboys also have the Best DC in getting the most of the DL in Marinelli

Bottom line the Jets franchise is just garbage from top to bottom. Anything is possible and they could get the right people in place, but its more than highly unlikely. The Jets have sucked the life out of me as a fan. I know I won't be following this team as closely as I have in the past. I have deleted all my Jets related Twitter sources. I will watch the NFL for a awhile longer, but each year becomes worse based on rules and the type of people that are playing football. I will be watching hockey more and more and when those people stop kneeling for the Anthem or punching women in the face then the NFL will take a back seat going forward in my life.

Bowles says "he didn't rob anyone" in response to this latest Richardson incident. Hey Todd, have you been paying attention at all? Have you noticed a pattern of behavior with this player? Without rehashing all the stupid decisions that Richardson's made, it's pretty obvious this guy's an immature moron. I understand many young guys are morons too, making bad decisions on social media. But Sheldon Richardson still doesn't get it. He's on the cusp of being a very rich and successful NFL player, set for life, and he has to go all "thug life". Tragic.

And Bowles needs to stop making dumb comments, too. Richardson isn't just any other player here. He's a guy on a short leash with an ugly criminal incident on his record. He shouldn't be doing ANYTHING to draw negative attention to himself. Everything he does is magnified based on his previous actions. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

This is so sad, and here's one of the main problems with the Jets, it's like they have a curse over the franchise. They are always screwing up their draft picks. For whatever reason!!! They never seem to get those game changing franchise HOF quality kind of players and even when they do, something goes wrong with them. Richardson and Wilkerson could be these kind of players, and I think we all can agree with that, but their attitudes are killing it for them.

Look at other drafts picks the Jets have picked, Nick Mangold, DaBrick, Shaun Ellis, Chad Pennington, Keyshaun Johnson, Darrell Revis etc-etc... These are quality HOF game changing players but did they ever play to they top ability to be that game-changing HOF player. IMO Revis has but fell off drastically over the past year or two. Everyone else hasn't because of injury, attitude, or whatever. Makes me wonder if these players were drafted by someone else, would they be that player to their full potential?

Same with Richardson and Wilkerson? Is it because they were drafted to the Jets that they aren't living up to their full potential? Or is this who they are and would be that way with any team? Teams like the Pats, Giants, Cowboys and Steelers just seem to breed quality players. It just never seems to fail with them. Teams like the Jets and Browns players seem to go the other way or just never seem to live up to their full potential. Game changing, HOF type of player.

Pats, Giants, Cowboys and Steelers.
Patriots have had one of the best Qb's of all time playing since 2001 and possibly the best head coach of all time on the sidelines.
Giants have a possible HOF QB playing for them since 2004. They still had a lot of losing seasons and Coughlin did lose his job.
Roethlisberger another possible HOF QB since 2004.
Cowboys, that might be the rabbits foot up the ass like the Patriots and T. Brady back in 2000.
Any team that lucks into a franchise QB, not picked in the first two rounds, should be set for awhile. You can use those first round and other high picks to help stabilize the rest of the team. Your QB's salary isn't prohibitive for a few seasons(R. Wilson.)
It was reported that the Cowboys were going to draft Connor Cook in that fourth round, the Raiders beat then to it, so they then drafted Prescott. Not until Romo AND the second string QB went down did Prescott get a chance. It also helps to have the best o-line in all of football and the #4 overall pick at RB killing it week in and week out for you. That being said, Prescott has look fantastic for most of the season.
If going forward, Petty or Hackenberg, pan out as Franchise QB's or even an above average QB like a Dalton or Flacco, then the Jets can build a solid team around them. They have a few pieces in place right now. Just a few.

Maccagnan would be smart to get a late round pick this year and a conditional pick in 2018...

In a way the Jets will be sticking it to him... He can go out and flounder we will still get compensation but he will hurt his own stock for a new contract... But if he realizes he needs to step his game up we end up getting compensated for his play as well...

I know it isn't the sexiest of moves but this way the team that does take him at worst will surrender this year's 6th and next year a 4th for taking a chance on him... If he has a breakout season which we all believe he will because it will be his contract year, we could see at best a 2nd round... Who knows could be a conditional 4th with parameters that we can see a 1st on strong play by him... We all agree he has the talent, just a shame is such a little bitch...

I would get rid of him for a 5th.......of whiskey that is

bowles should go against his burning desire to win meaningless games & deactivate richardson for the NE game & perhaps the buffalo game as well..

who knows, holding one of his big name players, wait for it..... accountable for his actions may help him gain a modicum of respect in the locker room he's lost..

my thoughts anyway..

Adversity brings out people's true colors.

Sheldon has shown his true colors. Let him be someone else's headache from now on. We're not getting anything more than a third round pick for him if we're lucky. Probably more like a 5th.

Take a third from a struggling team(like the Jets),i.e. Bears. A team with no foreseeable QB of the future so he is stuck with a probable losing franchise for the future. Don't let him hit free agency where he chooses his team, ends up on the Patriots or Bills and gets to kill the Jets twice a year when he feels like playing. F him. send him to the NFC to a struggling team and let him wash away.

Can we please just get of this guy? His postgame feud with Marshall is about the 7th past the final straw.
