Very good punt return by Dortch. That could help him earn a spot.
On the other hand, few of the young OL have impressed me. And that includes Edoga. I'm glad they got Lewis, because some of these bodies in on the second and third string OL are not looking great.

It's only the first game so I won't be too harsh but I agree that at this point I'm not very impressed with our 2s and 3s either.

Its probably not gonna be Webb. At least Siemian has a good track record. He should be judged behind 1st teamers though. Our depth did not have a good night. Siemian would probably look better with the starters.

After that, you'll have Compton, Edoga, Lewis, and maybe Harrison. That's 9. Maybe one more OL makes it...maybe. But that's it.
Some of these guys might be in the XFL come spring. They're missing out on the CFL season right now.
Siemian may not have looked good, but his numbers were good.
13-16, 77 yards, 1 TD, 107.6 passer rating. Against seconds, but also with seconds.
Darnold is really impressive improvising when things break down. Seems to have a sixth sense in avoiding pass rushers and his ability to throw accurately on the run is special. I think the additions of Crowder, Bell and Montgomery really play to his strengths as well. Gotta give Mac some credit for that.
I'm working right now as I'm typing this so I didn't get a chance to see any of the game. Couldn't watch any of it and look at the highlights while the game was going either. I recorded it so I watch it tomorrow but from what I saw the game was suspended for awhile. What was that about and how long did it last?
Darnold has great feet. He steps up in the pocket to avoid pressure and zips the ball perfectly to the open receiver. His mobility is one of his greatest strengths.
Crowder was a great pickup. Perfect slot receiver. Compliments Robby and Q well. He might be the leading WR in yards this season. It wouldn’t surprise me.
Montgomery has had a great camp. Gase has spoken highly of him for weeks. He’s a hybrid RB/FB/TE. You can see the playmaking ability with him. He’s gonna be a part of this offense for sure.
Thunderstorm. Almost exactly an hour delay. They compensated with a 5 minute halftime.
