The Jets are in need of depth across the board... In every position one can speculate a need but the reality is the team needs to be looking forward on what they won't have in the next couple years...

No. 20 CB Eli Apple Ohio State
- This pick benefits the Jets not only immediately but in the near future gives us depth now and future starting potential keeping this position loaded with talent...

No. 51 WR Braxton Miller - This kid is a steal here, not only is he a developmental receiver but the packages they can design for and with him allows us to be more dynamic... Who knows they could try converting him back to quarterback to compete with the lack luster depth we currently have... Can anyone say Brad Smith 2.0...

No. 83 DE/LB Yannick Ngakoue - Consider this kid this year's Lorenzo Mauldin pick... I have him as a sleeper mid round selection, that has the production in college and could develop into a serious edge rusher paired with Mauldin to strengthen our linebacker core...

No. 118 QB Dak Prescott - We need another developmental quarterback to compete with Bryce Petty, both have similarities that fit Chan Gailey's spread offense... There are some concerns but Prescott's body of work has potential to work with...

No. 235 TE Kyle Carter - Carter lacks ideal size and strength, but moves well for the position with body control and receiving traits to be effective, but his body of work doesn't match the traits... He projects as a developmental H-back...

No. 241 P Riley Dixon - Very accurate directional kicker that was consistent... Jets are noted liking Dixon and Tom Hackett from Utah but Hackett will likely be off the board earlier on day three...

Expect one of two teams to be on Muhammad Wilkerson front via trade, what I know now that Tennessee is interested... That being said they aren't inclined to part with their newly acquired 15th overall selection they received in the trade with the Rams, but they do have 3 second rounds picks to work with... Depending on the asking amount would put Wilkerson's value to be no less than two of those second round selections... To acquire the 43rd and 45th selections would give the Jets enough fire power to stack the deck...

Overall this mock has enough to warrant a successful draft without speculation if the Jets will be able to trade Mo Wilk... Acquiring six developmental prospects that have potential to contribute now while they hone their skill sets moving forward is enough to rebound from a less than explosive free agency...

Really like your top 3 and hypothetically getting two added 2nd's would really help flesh out the roster. With the added 2's I would draft Martin C/OG from ND and maybe OLB Correia (sp?) or Deon Jones ILB.

I would agree on Martin could replace Brian Winters at RG then open the door for a later round pick trade for Winters (and there are suitors because he had a good year last season)...

As for the other pick, I would go OT John Theus or OT Le'Raven Clark both are really liked by the Jets...

Picking up a mid/late pick for Winters can grab MLB Scooby Wright from Arizona to be depth behind Erin Henderson...
