Jets Global Mock Draft 3.0

I would like to get one of the Centers (Dickerson or Meinerz) to start on Day one working with our new QB for the next 10 years.
Ideally, you'd like to do that but I'm not sure that Dickerson is a guy I risk a high pick on due to the multiple ACLs, and Meinerz is a guy I like but he won't be ready to start right away. I like Meinerz and Green for the long term with McGovern starting, but perhaps giving way to one of the youngsters eventually. JMHO

IMO the Jets needs are QB, RB, RT, LG, RG, OC, #1WR, TE, CB, CB or nickel, OLB/Edge, MLB. That's 12 positions to fill in the next 2 years with 2 Drafts and next years FA. Jarrad Davis is on a 1 year contract, so he may be gone next year. Bryce Hall will either be our #2 CB or Nickel. I like building the Offensive line because as a college RB, they open the holes to run thru and protect the QB. It just so happens that this is a deep draft for Guards well into the 3rd Rd. A Center (Meinerz) late 2nd early 3rd. Of course QB will be had with our #2 pick. This leave #23 and #34. We can get a #1 WR, RB, TE, CB, OLB/Edge. Offense, #1 WR, RB, TE or we go Defense, CB, OLB/Edge. or 1 Offense, 1Defense.

To a large degree you are correct, however I wouldn't spend premium picks (#s 23 & #34) on RB or WR. I think our WRs are in decent shape with the holdovers and FA additions. RB, same thing. We will probably add a 'gadget-type' WR in 4-6 and perhaps a RB in that range as well. IMO, CB, IOL and Edge should be taken in the late 1st, 2nd and two 3rds.

I was there when they first yelled "WA-HOO!". (Talk about going sideways in a thread)
Later

Who made that tackle ?!?!?!?

Not he only guy who the fans yelled out their nickname when they made I play. I think Richard Todd's nickname was "Boo"

If the Jets trade down a little from 34 and take Javonte Wiliams in round 2 i wouldn't complain . If they too Etienne at 34 i wouldn't complain . I would prefer they build the offensive line in this draft and add skill position players and maybe a few linebackers later but i won't complain if they decide to work both sides of the line . I just would prefer to use both our #1 picks next year to help acquire the best edge rusher available whether it be at linebacker or DE and continue to build this team up front .

Nice draft but the problem is i see 2 starters potentially and with 5 picks in the 1st 86 picks in this draft that's unacceptable on this team that's supposedly deprived of talent .
Furthermore.ni can't see Cox and Schwartz lasting as long as your projections . I can't se drafting the 5th best CB at 34 just because we have a need when the top Pure OG will probably still be available or even the RB who might be the best fit for our offense and happens to be ranked by some as the best back in this draft class .
In the NFL you win with talent, not with potential .

I too cannot see Cox and Schwartz lasting that long, but you never know. Guys do slide. I see 4 starters with Wilson, Ojulari, Melifonwu, and Green. Walker Little could be replaced by a more needy ready to start OL. That leaves pick #107 and #226 to be replace by special teamers. Futhermore I like Green at #86 because I don't see him lasting to our next pick and I can see him being one of the steals in this draft.
