If it's Quinn and K Shanahan, does that mean we get Schneider as GM too? That would work. Who really hired Quinn at Seattle? Schneider or Carroll?

Do you honestly think anyone would put family members on the web dressed or undressed like that?? Or are you trying to provoke me for some odd reason??

Yea I found that question to you a little disturbing also

Any way:

According to Alex Marvez, the Dan Quinn to the Jets is all but done and he's already reaching out to candidates

According to Marvez who was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show, it seems as though the Jets have all but decided who their head coach is going to be and Dan Quinn is already reaching out to possible staff members:

This isn't really surprising. As Scott mentioned earlier, there are rumours that Quinn is looking at Kyle Shanahan as the potential offensive coordinator. Alex Marvez is the senior NFL writer at Fox Sports and he also commented that the Browns are expected to part company with Shanahan.

I would love the hire of Dan Quinn and it would be ever better if he brought Shanahan with him. Lets hope this turns out to be true.

* UPDATE - 4:05pm EST

Following this quote from Fox Sports I have it on good authority that the Jets have made no decision regarding their Head Coach position, Dan Quinn has not been hired or been promised the job and efforts are still on going to identify the correct candidate.

LOL

Right, like if the Jets had a hand shake deal with Quinn they would tell a blogger, and be in violation of league rules, and probably cost them a draft pick. O K

Maybe we can bring back Callahan, our last OL coach with a clue.

All this subterfuge reminds me of when Parcells came in "97" , and the preceding rumors while he was still coaching NE in the SB

Sunday Morning Quarterback: Woody Johnson betting big as NY Jets head toward possible Dan Quinn and Mike Maccagnan pairing

Gary Myers

It appears the Johnson-Casserly-Wolf contingent has identified Texans scouting director Mike Maccagnan as the GM and Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as the coach.
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Saturday, January 10, 2015, 4:00 PM A A A

Woody Johnson is desperate to find winning formula for Jets, but if he goes with coach/GM duo of Dan Quinn and Mike Maccagnan, he’s banking on two rookies.
Woody Johnson is trying to do the right thing. He’s not a meddling owner — he just likes to be in the loop about what’s going on with his team. Before John Idzik put Johnson’s wallet in a safe deposit box and threw away the key for two years, Johnson was always willing to spend to win.

It was a good idea hiring consultants Charley Casserly and Ron Wolf, who built Super Bowl teams, to lead his general manager and coaching search. The Jets have gone about this methodically.

But as the process winds down, it appears the Johnson-Casserly-Wolf contingent has identified Texans scouting director Mike Maccagnan as the GM and Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as the coach. I wrote back on Sept. 28 that if the choice belonged to Idzik, his first choice to replace Rex Ryan was Quinn, with who he worked in Seattle. Funny thing is the Jets wound up hiring Idzik’s guy.

One problem, however, with the Maccagnan-Quinn pairing. They will be rookies in their jobs in the biggest and toughest market in the country working for a team that is closing in on 50 years since its only Super Bowl appearance and has a disgusted fan base that flies airplanes to voice its dissatisfaction.

Other than that, it’s an easy job.

Johnson is taking a chance. Maccagnan’s background is personnel, so he already starts off way ahead of Idzik. But he’s never had final say. Quinn has been the architect of the Legion of Boom defense in Seattle. Five teams have interviewed him. But he’s never been a head coach. It helps both are from New Jersey are should have an understanding of the landscape and Jets history.

These will be the Jets’ most important hires since Leon Hess and Steve Gutman hijacked Bill Parcells out of New England in 1997 after Rich Kotite ran the Jets into the ground with a 4-28 record in two seasons.

The Jets are a handful. They have no quarterbacks and no cornerbacks and not enough PSL holders.

Can Johnson put this organization in the hands of two rookies?

It helps that Quinn has been working for Pete Carroll. Not only does Carroll run one of the best programs in the NFL, but after spending four years as the Jets’ defensive coordinator and one year as head coach, he can brief Quinn on what it takes to coach in New York and to coach the Jets.

Maccagnan is pretty much an unknown. He worked for Casserly in Washington and Houston. A couple of weeks ago, one source told me that, “If Casserly owned a team, he would definitely hire Maccagnan as general manager.”

He has been with the Texans since 2000, two years before they began play as an expansion team, and has been their college scouting director since 2012. Too bad J.J. Watt doesn’t go on his record. He was the 11th overall pick in the 2011 draft. Casserly is an NFL lifer, but it’s not exactly like he has a general manager tree that can be used to predict success. But he can be trusted.

If Quinn wants the Jets and the Jets want him, he can’t be offered the job until the Seahawks’ season is over, which may not be until Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1. That doesn’t help the Jets. But let’s not be naïve and think this can’t be set up in advance and that Quinn won’t put together his staff. When coaches interview for jobs, one of the things they are asked to do is present plans for their staff. If Mike Shanahan gets a head coaching job — he’s interviewed with the 49ers, Raiders and Bills — then his son Kyle is likely to be his offensive coordinator. If not, then he could be hired by Quinn. A Quinn-Shanahan tandem would be pretty good.

Johnson desperately wants to win. This is his 15th season owning the Jets. This will be his fifth GM and fifth head coach. Stability is crucial in the NFL. The Jets have been volatile.

One of the things that makes NY "tough" is the FOUR HORSESASSES OF THE APOCALYPSE (Myers, Lupica, Walder and Womanish) all writing for New York's Morning Toilet Paper tabloid

If the karma of the Jets ends up killing a coach then I'm done for good.
