The New York Jets have expressed interest in bringing back linebacker Jamari Lattimore, according to the Associated Press' Dennis Waszak Jr.
Lattimore, 27, recorded 13 combined tackles in 15 games with the Jets last year, his first with the team. He played 49 games with the Green Bay Packers from 2011 to 2014. He has two sacks, one forced fumble and one interception in 64 career games.
The Jets are still interested in keeping linebacker Erin Henderson and met with linebacker Courtney Upshaw on Thursday.

Lattimore only saw action on defense in four games last year, with 48 of his 58 snaps coming in Weeks 13 and 14. While he started nine games in 2013 and 2014 with the Packers, he never seemed to be in contention for a bigger role with the Jets. When he was used, it was mostly in coverage situations, and he gave up a few big plays. Latttimore was a contributor on special teams with 11 tackles, though. I'd expect the Jets to try and bring back Lattimore on a low-level contract -- possibly a minimum salary deal with not much in the way of guaranteed money.
