Had to look up who the title referred to. All I could think of was Mitch Mitchell.

In any event, with the amount of holes this team has they simply cannot draft a QB every single %^$% year.

...maccagnan has traded up in the 4th round for petty..

supposedly/apparently reached for hackenberg in the 2nd round..

& now his play is to draft a third QB, this time with a top 10 pick??

LOLz i get the "draft one till you find one" mentality but this would seem like career suicide if trubisky isn't a year one namath2.0..

Trubisky is a redshirt Junior, literally a Senior for school...

difference between Mitch and Mark Sanchez is style of play...

Sanchez was a volume passer, gun slinger type qb...

Whereas Trubisky is more accurate but that is from one year of tape...

Basically right now Trubisky would be one step behind Petty, so no thanks... Rather allow Hack some time to develop...

There are three Tar Heels the Jets should look into:

OG Caleb Peterson
RB Elijah Hood
WR Bug Howard

all three are currently day three prospects... another day three prospect could be Senior tackle John Heck, but more than likely he will kick inside at this level...

“Anything he does would not influence my draft decision,” Casserly added. “That’s my opinion. If there’s a quarterback in a round you like, I’d take him anyway. The more, the merrier and we’ll figure this thing out

Amen to that

Living in North Carolina and watching him play a bunch of times I can say for one year (which is his downside) he's a pretty cool cat. I do like him. I also have a close friend who's son plays on the team and say's his two best attributes are he recognizes plays and coverage's very quickly and throws a great deep ball. Again his downside is he has one year under his belt.

I'm of the belief you draft/build your offensive line first, than bring in your QB. However, I would think hard if he's there at 6 or when we draft. If there's one position you takes chances on it's QB. Can't win without one. Look at the top of the draft and who needs a QB. Just about everyone.

I had generally considered the notion of a QB making all the difference to be false. It's become increasingly obvious how wrong I was.

In this case, this franchise is way overdue for a true top QB. If it means expending assets on the position year after year, you do it.
