Jets Promote Kenbrell Thompkins to active roster

He's had problems catching the ball with the Pats in the past so I wouldn't expect much there, kind of like Enunwa.

What I find intriguing is his blocking which is what Gailey seems to want in all his WR's. Here's a snippet from his draft profile about that skill.

A physical blocker for run plays and quick screens, extending his arms and mirroring to sustain on the outside and crashing down on linebackers to create running room on off-tackle runs.

Clearly a must-have skill for his wideouts. I'm curious if he gets Enunwa # of snaps or that goes to Cumberland.

Yep
Not going to try to second guess Gailey. He's clearly the best OC the Jets have had in forever.

So far I don't understand what he is doing with Kerley and Cumberland. Or what he's not doing.

I'd give Cumberland the snaps, his blocking has improved over the years. So I guess that means Thompkins will get them

I suppose on running plays designed to get outside, but to get in the passing game, I side with Kerley all day & twice on this Sunday!

Let's face it, Fitz is doing his best simulation of a training facilitator for "kids" learning on the job. This week we need guys who add something to Fitz's bag of tricks, rather than Fitz trying to establish their bag of tricks.

I can envision Kerley having a pretty big game!
