Jordan Jenkins returns to Jets on one-year deal

It didn't look that way at first, but OLB Jordan Jenkins will indeed be re-signing with the Jets on a one-year deal, SNY's Ralph Vacchiano confirmed on Monday. The deal is worth $5 million.

Still need something else on the edge. But I'd be happy with his return.

My sense is his return probably means they go draft for some pass rush, rather than Clowney.

Jets were said to like these three prospects EDGE:

Cam Brown, PSU
Tipa Galeai, Utah St.
Francis Bernard, Utah

all three are early day 3 prospects

I wouldn't be upset if the Jets go LSU with the first pick or one of the third rounders:

He had 8 sacks last season so I'm glad to see him come back. I read that the Jets are no longer interested in Clowney because he wants too much money. That being said the draft seems most likely where our additional edge rusher will come from.

He sets the edge well, plays sound fundamental FB and is respected in the locker room. he reminds me of a young Calvin Pace.... get it done JD and we will have a solid core of LBs... even without an edge rusher.
