What in the hell is the point in arguing over Smith vs Fitzpatrick ? Seriously? Neither one of them is anything special. Sure has hell neither one of them is a future Tom Brady, Drew Breez, or Phillip Rivers. I have my doubts if either one of them would ever be considered a franchise QB. 
Who ever outplays the other one will get the start, probably slight edge- and I do mean a slight one - to Fitzpatrick, but if not, 6 to 1 - half dozen to the other. Not sure if the plan is to move up to get somebody, or to sit back and take Bryce Petty.

Fitzpatrick is light years ahead of geno. If he would have had the team we are giving him he can make the playoffs. I think Texas was 5-2 when he got hurt.
They were 6-6 when he got hurt.

I actually think Fitzpatrick is much better than he's getting credit for, he's been on some really, really bad teams and been able to do some good things with no help. Granted he's been beat to crap over his time but I believe he can win some games for the Jets, but more importantly, I don't think he'll lose games for them, and at the end of the season that could mean the difference between a playoff spot or vacation.

Your progress report is wrong my friend. Think what you want, we have a bet and I will own up to my end. Geno plays well this year and helps the team to success, you admit Fitz wasn't the answer and Geno is the answer. Geno flops and Fitz plays well and helps this team to success and I admit Geno wasn't the answer and Fitz is. If I didn't feel Geno could do it we wouldn't have this bet.
But if you happen to agree with him on anything you get pat on the back!

Of all the times any Jet opponent faced Genomarcus Smith, did any of them think, even for a second, uh oh we're in trouble
And with his spectacular 11 wins out of 31 games or so (not counting the one he was benched for, they'd be pretty darn correct

Mods - is there a way we can cut the back and forth out? I’m not blaming any 1, 2, or even 3 posters. I think there have been 6-7 posters on 3 spreads, including myself, in on this spat; but eventually, we need to get back to talking football, boobies, and beer. This nonsensical back and forth is ruining too many threads at this point, IMO. Just my 2 cents from a poster surprised this string of insults has lasted all week...

Lol, sorry about that man and trust me I would feel the same way. When I saw the response I automatically thought it was from him because he and I have been going back and forth for sometime now.
Well, I think when bets are about the topic, it is fair game for the thread, like how many games Rex will win as the Bills coach on the thread about rex being on the cover of SI for getting the HC job of the Bills...I think that's fair game.
However, when conversations are evolving into finger pointing when arguing about Geno, and "you're this type of fan" and "you're that type of fan" across multiple threads...I would thinks its the mods role to combine conversations and keep the posts on topic, not about the poster.
Your response reminded me of a civilian standing in front of a dead body in the street, the civilian looks to his right and sees a police officer standing there, so the civilian asks the police officer what he should do, and the police officer says call the police or handle it yourself. The civilian says, "but you're standing right there, shouldn't you be taken care of this?" And the police officer says, "not my problem, maybe you should stop speeding on your way to work."
