Then again Kyler Murray won 3 Texas State titles and never lost a game. Won a Heisman. Won OROY. Murray was the #1 pick which he was a bust.
There where whispers about Murray coming out.
Didn't Kingsbury(not sure if this is the wack-a-Do's name) practically telegraph that draft pick?
I remember something about the whole thing. Turned out to be the mess most thought it would become.

Here's more good news. The Raiders allowed the most sacks last season. We now have 3 of those OL and the the Starting QB who authored that epic stat line.
J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!
Aside from Parnham, who are the other 2 OL guys?
I thought we'd be lining up Left to right as
Olu... Parnham... Tippmann... Anez... Armand.

I asked my friend Gemini a few questions about the o line. Here’s the answers:

The projected starting offensive line for the New York Jets:

PositionStarterKey Backup
Left Tackle (LT)Olumuyiwa "Olu" FashanuMax Mitchell
Left Guard (LG)Dylan ParhamAnez Cooper
Center (C)Josh MyersJordan Meredith
Right Guard (RG)Joe TippmannKohl Levao
Right Tackle (RT)Armand MembouChukwuma Okorafor

The unit features a strong blend of high-draft-pick talent on the edges with Olu Fashanu anchoring the left side and recent draft pick Armand Membou holding down right tackle. In the interior, free-agent signees Dylan Parham and veteran center Josh Myers slide in alongside Joe Tippmann (who transitions over to right guard) to lock down the middle.

How good are Parham and Myers

Dylan Parham and Josh Myers represent two very different levels of performance on the interior line. Parham is a reliable, steady starter who fits well in pass protection, whereas Myers is a replacement-level player who has consistently struggled to lock down the center position.

Dylan Parham (Left Guard)

  • The Good: Strong pass protection. Parham was a reliable four-year starter with the Raiders before joining the Jets. He graded out near the top half of starting left guards, showing solid footwork and agility.
    Sports Illustrated

  • The Weakness: Run blocking can be inconsistent. He excels in pass sets—posting a strong pass-rush win rate grade—but he isn't a power-oriented guard who consistently moves defensive tackles off the line of scrimmage in the run game.
  • Verdict: Above-average starter. He brings durability and a strong pass-blocking base, making him a dependable upgrade on the left side.

Josh Myers (Center)

  • The Good: Durability and experience. Myers has logged heavy snap counts since his draft profile in Green Bay, bringing experience with pre-snap line calls.
  • The Weakness: Pass protection consistency and leverage. Myers has struggled significantly with speed-to-power interior rushers, frequently landing near the bottom of qualified starter rankings in PFF pass-blocking grades.
  • Verdict: Below-average starter. While serviceable as a bridge option who knows how to make pre-snap reads, he remains the soft spot of the starting unit and a candidate for backup pressure or extra help in protection.

So what’s your answer to those questions. I’m actually pretty impressed with a fair amount of the stuff Gemini says. Plus she’s hot and I think she likes me. I know Alexa does

BM, After the Giant slaughtering, I agree with you. my 98 and 2015 vibes went away watching our "elite" oL get man handled, and the beef we inked & drafted to bolster the run D seemed like wimps to the GMen OL. It sucks, but I see another disaster unfolding. and another regime change.

Rex's tenure to some Jet fans reminds me of my Knick fandom during the 90's to many fellow Knick fans. Lots of good vibes and feelings but we won zilch!! Don't get me wrong. I, too, loved the season lasting until the second to last game in back2back seasons. But his vaunted 0 coverage D got on my nerves watching too many 3rd and forevers get converted.
His best display of game planning and worst display came so close together. in 2010 playoffs.
Best... going into Peyton & Brady's homes in B2B weeks with a small ball D suffocating passing lanes for the aforementioned HOF QB's. worked like a charm.
Worst... tried it in Berger's house too. he forgot that PITT had a guy named Mendenhall who laughed at our additional DBs trying to tackle him. I believe to this day that we win that game playing our base D to start the game.
After Sanchize hit Santonio on the long td pass, we got the ball right back. on 3rd & 7, Sanchize almost connected with Braylon. again, to this day, if BE toe drags that conversion, I think Momentum flips completely, and we're in the SB. Noy\t to mention the final drive with guru Schotty calling LT's # on 4 plays in a row.
sadly, he forgot about the unbelievable call and design he had in PITT a few weeks earlier where Sanchize had a designed keeper to run in a GWinner with LT as a decoy!!

Tomlinson bought a home in Long Island. when Glenn gets canned, I say we takt PITT's trash to be our treasure.

Good news for Breece if he gets a bonus for leading the league in rushing. we're givng Will Levis a workout. We're paying #7 next to nothing. Hard to believe we couldn't ink Tyrod to back him up and give St. Nick the raise he wanted. I don't think eit'll matter, but for fun, let's say we are in payoff contention late, Geno has an ankle tweak and we need a 45 yarder to win a win and you're in game, 2 disastrous oversights would come into vivid focus.
