Burris has good size and adequate length... He is reliable high/low tackler and willing run defender... Uses his hands to tear through blocks and restrict run lanes..

He is physical in coverage to disrupt routes and gain proper body position... He gets his head turned to locate and contest the throw, showing off his body control... Well coordinated feet in reverse to transition and burst off his plant foot, sticking with any type of receiver...

Started 43 games, including 41 straight...

He will translate well into the Jets Bowles' secondary able to lineup on an island in bump n run man coverage... Expect him to compete early to lineup possibly at nickel with Skrine getting the chance to be the number two behind Revis...

Kid most likely will be moved to Saftey for depth. He has very good ball hwak skills.

Like the kids size and he probably will be moved to safety or hybrid between the two positions for depth. This is turning out to be a damn good draft after all.

He went a little higher than I expected. I think because the Jets did not have a fifth or sixth led to them taking him here. They figured they couldn't get him in the seventh, really wanted him, and took him perhaps slightly early as a result.

I generally tend toward more athletic CBs over physical CBs, but he fits Bowles' scheme and personality.
