Jets Sign A Saleh Player From 49ers

Robert Blair....DE....knows, and is familiar with Saleh's system. Is that enough? The Jets, no matter the regime sign players without some marquis value on the field. See for yourself as I hope it's a good signing.
A 2016 fifth-round draft pick out of Appalachian State, Blair appeared in 47 games for the 49ers, with only two starts. He has 13.5 career sacks, including 5.5 in 2018, and 27 quarterback hits and 22 tackles for loss.

Blair was released by the 49ers in March. Blair had knee complications following the ACL tear and required a second surgery in October. NBC Sports reported that Blair appeared set to re-sign with the 49ers in April, but a deal never came to fruition after a meeting with team doctors.

He required the second surgery, if memory serves me correctly, because the first surgery was botched. If he is properly healed, and I believe that the Jets would look into that, he is heads and tales better than the player, ( Sharif Finch ), who played only 3 games last season and had only one tackle. He was one of Saleh's favorite edge players when healthy. Question is................is he healthy now and can he remain healthy through the season. He's certainly an upgrade so I'd say it's worth the risk.

New blood is always a good thing. The guy knows the system and if healthy should contribute. If not it was worth a shot.
