Nice short term insurance to go along with a promising rookie as depth behind Darnold. Similar to what JD did at the RB position with Bell, Gore and Perine. Nice job.

I heard the exact same thing when they signed Josh McCown for 10 mil .
What a great locker room guy
Sounds like we have great teachers Flacco , Gore
I'd like to see it on the field
Time for the kid to step it up

First Joe Douglas had to step up, which he did. No QB who ever lived could have excelled behind last year’s offensive line. Even after his last preseason game, I commented that every throw Sam made had to be off his back foot. He couldn’t step into his throws all season. Now, did he make some boneheaded decions that could not be excused for any reason? Yes. The one at the goal line that he threw as he was about to be crushed was terrible. I don’t remember which game it was, but You probably know which game. I’m not worried about Sam at all. He learns from his mistakes. It was evident how much more frequently he threw the ball away in the second half of the season.
The person I am worried about is Gase.

Not saying I don't like the move .
Just saying I've heard this before
And I'm tired of the shit I hear how good we're going to be ever year in the off season
Let's see it on the field , no more excuses

just wondering if " no quarterback who ever lived" includes brady. because in my book, bradys 10 seconds to throw for all his best years is the reasonbrady is brady. on the Jets, brady is retired many many years ago

also, if a potentially great quarterback starts his career behind a suckass line, he might always suck, while, if he starts his career, like brady, with 10 seconds to throw, every single damn time and he also has a great defense, and throw in that his head coach is the worlds best cheater, then that quarterback may just end up with 6 rings

Flacco one hit wonder? If he has to teach Darnold anything its how not to be an average to awful QB.
