They should not have cut Adams in the first place. He's the most physical back on the roster. Perine should be worried now.

Perine is questionable...
But Adams has more of slasher mentality that can glide in open space... Remind you of someone, that was on our roster last year?

5 RBs is hard for roster management - many teams go with 3=, I think......do some of these guys play specials?

49ers last three years had a rotation of 4 to 5 RBs on their roster, how did they do?

this is more of a precaution move, because teams were inquiring to sign Josh Adams...
Tevin Coleman's injury past is another reason...
La'Mical Perine has been marked as questionable since the Iggles preseason game...

So technically Ty Johnson the rookie Michael Carter and now Josh Adams are the active 3 of the 5...
They are going to want to run the ball, early and often with really no veteran QB as backup they will run...

I like the idea of a 5 headed monster @ RB featuring Michael Carter, Ty Johnson, Telvin Coleman, La’Mical Perine and Josh Adams.

A.) It'll keep our RBs fresh throughout every game of the entire season.

B.) It'll keep our RBs healthy and significantly reduce chances of injury.

C.) Opposing Front 7's will become worn out by trying to stop 5 fresh RBs going full speed.

D.) Whichever RB has the hot hand, continue to feed him the rock.

This will not only protect a talented Rookie QB but it'll also open up the play action for our passing game.

All excellent points. With your logic Adams should be the battering ram late in the fourth quarter. Just a first down, time killing wearing down the defense RB.

So I would assume

it’s late in the 4th
We’re leading by one score
We need to get a 1st down to kill the clock
Run ???? Pass????
Run up the middle !!!!
1st down
Take the kneel down
Victory Formation!!!!!!
When’s the last time we did that ?????
I’m delirious

It's been a while for sure. But times are a changing I hope with Douglas, Saleh, and LeFleur. Just hope Wilson can put all his off the field studying to use on the field. Plus keep him protected and upright.
