Jets so-called drafted QBs!

Ever since Joe Broadway it has seemed to be some kind of bad cloud over the Jets and especially their QBs. Top ranked drafted ones in particular! I can’t remember all of them but let’s go down the line of a few of them and see where it leads us. First through the third round draft picks in particular.

- Richard Todd was ok, decent at most but not a franchise QB.
- Ken O’Brien was pretty much the same.
- Chad Pennington was our best chance but he couldn’t stay healthy. He was an excellent QB before the injuries.
- Christian Hackenburg a bust.
- Kellon Clemons, Browning Nagle and Glenn Foley were also bust.
- Mark Sanchez was a below average QB. He was sorta clutch in the playoffs. I will give him that.
- Geno Smith was a bust for us. Maybe he never really had a chance because he’s doing well now.
- Sam Darnold was a bust for us. Maybe he’ll turn out ok with the Panthers but I doubt that also.
- Zach Wilson, jury still out on him but I think it’s pretty safe to say they drafted another bust with him also.

Think of all the QBs they past up on. Marino in particular but there were others that were just as crucial. Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Justin Fields, Drew Breez, Steve McNair, Big Ben, Dak Prescott, Tom Brady and the list can go on and on and on!

I forgot all about him. He was a bust also and I had real high hopes for him. Jets QBs (drafted, traded for or signed) always seems to turn out to be some shit!

It’s pretty safe to assume that but who knows. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are talented like no other. Imagine them on the Jets. Hard to see players with that caliber of all world talent being bust. Then again, we are talking about the Jets and this possible but very plausible dark cloud thing!

Hopefully they can draft a 7th rounder this year and he will come from no where in his rookie year and be our 20 year, SB multiple time winning, franchise and first ballot HOF QB. I’ll even take an undrafted player. I’m good with that also.

I definitely don't think Fields is the real deal yet, but man on this team with his wheels and his attitude I think we would be at least a 10 win team. Zach Wilson is as close to a bust as you can get at this point.

Agree. I held out hope as long as I could. Watching him in person today, he just sucks. I don’t want this team to waste another snap on him. Streveler is certainly not the answer but I would still rather see him out there. Fuck, I would have rather seen statue Flacco out there today.

My biggest problem with Ken O'Brien was that he could've been selected in the 2nd round and it was pretty obvious that that was the case. Darrell Green and Ken O'Brien would've put the Jets over the top.

The Dolphins were 10 points from winning the superbowl. And in the off-season, Dan Marino fell into their lap. They had one of the best coaches of all time to boot. How did that work out for them?

On this team Fields would already have us at 10 wins and on our way to 2-3 more into the playoffs. He would definitely be the real deal with this squad. He is with his current Bears team and they are nothing compared to us. So imagine what he could do with this team, Saleh and Joe D? The Jets TRULY screwed up not drafting him!

Hey 82 this stupidity drafting QBs Wrong has gotten worse since Darnold Draft! I wanted Josh Allen after 2 I said in here to Draft Herbert in case Darnold not it and to top it off we had a chance to get Trover Lawrence and won a game so Jags could bench starters. Now Zach a high risk QB I said to give him a chance Jets needs a Good O Line , a Vet WR and a good RB in Zach’s second years to development of him . Now we got a young Offense with bad O Line wearing shirts because they don’t like Zach progress after 20 games and rookie WRs throwing arms in air trying to get fans pissed at QB and THATs why you have a VETERAN WR that understands how to help a QB under stress being chased all over the fields in his first 2 years and is jumpy now playing and effects Zach’s Play is this entire Stupidity by GM , Coach and Rookies and a bad O Line ! Should have Drafted all Offense O Linemen and got Vet WR to make Damn sure your high risk reward QB you drafted 2nd progresses like other Teams do for their rookie QB!!!! Come on Coach I wanted you here to man up and make these guys act like men on the field respecting everyone instead of this crap I seen the last 2 years! GM I’m sick of Jets dumb Drafting of QBs!! Zach was risk reward like Josh Allen You Needed to make sure you did everything to make sure he is the right pick instead of this circus mess

I won’t even say Sanchez looked, more like serviceable to me but he did help (to a certain extent) get the Jets to two AFC championship games. Zach does look like shit!

Bryce Petty could have been the one. He formed a great long passing combo with Richie Anderson.
Unfortunately, the coach didn't let him throw long passes and they traded Anderson.
Typical. The coaches didn't know what they had and/or didn't develop it because the players didn't fit into their system instead of he other way around.
