Like watching paint dry LOL.....I still have not made up my mind on him but as of today......One more time folks as of today.......He is a negative.

If creating long term success took 1 or 2 years, every team would be successful. One thing this front office has,which is unique for the Jets, is a clear understanding by everyone,of what the plan is.
Idzik was bombing the draft, stashing cap room, and backstabbing rex with personnel while claiming they were a winning team. Then, he blamed the losing on rex.
I believe Bowles,mac,and Woody are all on the same page with philosophy and a realistic understanding of what they have.
That's great, because they can build on that. Not every player will pan out, but overall we have added young quality players each year. We've drafted QB's without trading 3 first round picks.
Fans want to just put the engine in the car and go, but the car is only half built. We needed a5 year rebuild in my opinion. The first 2 years we've compensated for idziks lack of drafting, from here forward mac is on his own in regards to a3 year rebuild. It's not always going to be pretty, but it had to be done.
Bowles needs to improve, he can. Mac needs to draft starting players in rounds 1 and 2. Woody needs to stay committed to the plan. But, for once, this team has a winning philosophy and everybody is on board.
If we are blowing out the Patriots and winning the division in 2 or 3 years, and have a bright future, no one will remember this year.

man i wish i shared the optimism expressed in this thread..
that said, i do feel somewhat encouraged based mykcuz's vision of our jets future under this regime..

Being optimistic is more fun but it's hard!
no argument from me.. not sure if you remember but back in the JI days, i was over the moon pumped about ryan & sanchez years one & two.. at that time, i could not be convinced the both of them wouldn't all time jets..
i've never had more fun as a jet fan, two consecutive years in my life!!
Those were good years but Ryan was limited & Sanchez never had the support. Tanny well he had his problems.
How could you not be pumped, all our offense had to do was score 10 points a game and we won.
Rex is statistically or best coach in decades.
The morons upstairs thought they could develop Sanchez into manning and transitioned to a pass heavy offense. They completely misread the obvious, Sanchez was a super capable qb to compliment a defensive team.

Last year was fun, and Mac did everything to keep that team intact without sacrificing the future. But this IS ALL about the future. Maybe we have 10 wins one year and 5 the next and then 7. This is not all about wins right now, it's about building a winning franchise.
7 wins or 8, who cares, keep drafting and developing, and be in position to strike when we zero in on our future qb. Because once the role players are in place the machine is primed to compete for a decade.
The infighting seems gone, the top 3 have a plan and respect each other.
