Fitz is the guy as long as he comes back 100%. The new leadership has no ties to Geno. They do to Fitz and also have their own QB of the future in the pipeline.

Still hoping for a Geno emergence. You know Ryan will never be a pro bowl QB and I want that chunk of cash that I sent to the Jets last month to be worth it for a change.

Fitzpatrick most certainly isn't our "QB of the future", but there's NO reason to think he can't produce more than Geno THIS YEAR, which is really all that matters.

If Geno can outplay him, great. I just hope we end up with the BETTER QB, instead of the "less worse" one . . .

Part of this is what I hear from my brother-in-law who is a Texans season tix holder. He told me that they were thrilled to dump this guy who, despite his stats, would never win anything. Of course, he is as much an expert as the rest of us jamooks, but it does color my opinion as he did sit through his games. Like I said, Earl Morrall won a league championship with one decent year surrounded by a lot of talent so maybe this can happen with Fitz. Let's see.
