Yeah..........this was a really smart move. There is no guarantee that he will make the final roster. But it makes it much easier to trade him if they decide he isn't going to cut it. It saves a lot of money either way it goes. With real coaching instead of coddling he might even learn how to catch the ball and hold on to it.

Everything I've heard about his coaching ability and football knowledge points to YES we have a coach. I sure as hell hope that is accurate.

I certainly hope so.
When I was 30 I could hike 2 miles across rough terrain in the Catskills, shoot a 300 pond bear and drag it back out by myself and I wasn't a professional athlete with all the training staff and equipment they have. I have a hard time thinking of 30 as old, especially for an athlete.
