Jets WR issue(s)

Lazard is primarily back and on the 53 roster because of his BLOCKING - as the team's primary offensive game plan is to run the ball - blocking ability is often over looked by the more casual viewer regarding both WRs and RBs, but NOT by coaching/management - and in the Jets case this year it is arguably more important then ever. Correspondingly, a player MAY be on the practice squad because he is deficient in his blocking and needs to work on same
I still had hoped they would bring a productive veteran WR in TC to pair with Wilson. They were guys out there via trade or FA. I think it's a major mistake. I know, I know, they are a running team blah, blah, blah. They are eventually going to have to throw the ball. See what I'm getting at here?
Please don't tell me the "passing game" is going to be comprised of a double covered Wilson and a rookie TE.

We actually have 3 very capable receiving TEs and if teams try to stuff the box and double cover Wilson, Smith will burn them for huge gains or TDs. We have enough presence at WR and TE to keep defenses honest.
Our season is going to be determined by the
O Line play. I'm far from sold on either of our tackles, especially Membou, and I don't have much confidence in Tippmann due to his frequent poor snaps. Struggled with snapping last year, this camp, in the preseason games , and is still struggling with the season starting in just days.
He will play in line and occasionally may line up in the slot. Beck will be used heavily as a blocking TE
In theory he will burn them. In reality Fields is the QB so until he proves he can throw the ball it will just be Smith winning a track race.
He doesn't have to hit him deep, a short to intermediate pass will result in big plays. If the defense ignores the pass, Fields is good enough to make them pay
The last sentence is key. Is Fields truly good enough " to make them pay?" I hope so. Unfortunately We won't know for sure until gameday. I don't have the same faith as some. Comes with the Territory.
The good thing about being a Jet Fan is you have plenty of time to get ready for the Holidays because their Season is almost always over right around Halloween.
Putting an end to that this year would make me a believer.

Just like every year, every Jet opponent sees the jets on their schedule and sees that as a winnable game.

I mean I hope you are right, but I don't know if I can get on board yet.
Fortunately the season is just days away.
We will see soon enough what this new staff and roster will produce. Could go winless or make a playoff push. Im more hopeful that they produce a winning record than I have been since fat Rex got skinny!!!
But it's just blind faith at this point.
I expect the worst and hope for the best. I just hope they are just competitive at this point.
AG has a tie to Parcells so I hold at least a small hope here but I won’t believe anything until I see it
