Ok I said Jets are a 3 Win team and they are! So why panic mode by us fans when Jets passed on 3 top QBs in the 5 years that made me furious. Allen,Lawrence and even Oregon QB Charger got. Allen geeze stupid and the Lawrence Jets allowed a Coach on knowing hes fired go win a game and watch Jags bench their team to get him. Now we got Zach at QB, I said fix O Line and get a top 5 WR to help our QB and we dont. Zach has potential with help and could go backward without it. This is why I said Jets are a 3 Win team. Steelers next and no way I would put the rookie QB out there until Jets fix this team and Head Coach plls his head out of his ass and hold players accountable and stop being a nice guy. You can do that nice guy crap on a winning team but not on this team. Fix it!!
The Jets did pass on Allen, Lawrence they did not. If you want to say they screwed up and one those 2 wins that year that kept them from drafting Lawrence than so be it but it wasn't like he was there to draft and they drafted Zach Wilson instead. Justin Herbert I can't remember the facts on that draft but they probably fucked up on that one too. If I remember correct, didn't they have Darnold at that time and was trying to figure out if he was our guy? If that's the case than I can understand why they didn't draft Herbert. I guess they weren't fed up with Darnold at that point like they were when they drafted Zach. Plus it was a new regime at that point.
So here we are with a team this year that is loaded with talent on both sides of the field. All they have to do now is figure out whether or not we have a franchise QB, an solid oline and a coaching staff that can get these guys in the right positions to win some games. So far it doesn't appears we have a solid oline and the coaching staff seems suspect. Zach hasn't played this year but hopefully this week we'll start to see what he's about. Last year he was a rookie playing with ALOT of players that wouldn't even made the squads of competitive teams. C. Davis was injured most of the year, E. Moore missed a few games, horrible TEs, running game consisted of M. Carter and him alone.
Plus a rookie coaching staff for the most part. So he had an excuse last year but this year he doesn't. This year he has to show something or he will be on the hot seat himself, IMHO! He has three years, just like this coaching staff to show me something or changes need to be made. Joe. has built a pretty solid team or young guys and vets in their prime. So there's no reason we shouldn't be competitive in most, if not all games and win 7-9 games this year, 6 at the least! This is only a 2 game jump from last year. If this team can't do that then we have a problem. Anything less then that and it's a problem for me, NO EXCUSES, NO EXCUSUES, NO EXCUSUES!
With this shaky oline, Zach can hopefully buy us that extra 1-3 seconds we need to get the ball to our playmakers, and that might make the difference in wins and losses. Competitive games/losses or wins to embarrassing losses like the ones we've experienced so far. I have the confidence in Zach that he can get it done. If he can stay
healthy and learn the game like I think he can, HE WILL BE OUR GUY! He puts in the work and has the talents and mentality to be that good, we just need to give he some to develop and be that good! I think this and next year is enough time and a fair assessment. Without a franchise QB, we have nothing so hopefully Zach is our guy!
