have 12 hardcore gm's signed up i changed the draft to auto because getting 12 or more people on to draft will be very hard

Should I assume this is the reason there's no fantasy football talk on this site -- because "GMs" don't want to give up their strategies?
If so, that stinks. I have a draft on Saturday and would LOVE to talk/hear about different opinions/philosophies, but I don't see a thread on it anywhere.

I think thats right, OCCH, I know I was even reluctant to mention Devante Adams when Jordy Nelson went down, lest I in any way telegraph a player I might be eying in the draft. That said, I think after the fantasy drafts have concluded and the season kicks off, you will see a lot more fantasy discussion.

Keeper leagues are really, really tough with people who don't know each other and aren't in close contact with each other.
I've been in a dynasty league that has lasted 32 years (started in HS in 1984), but that is very rare. You have to really trust that the people in the league are going to be there forever for a keeper league to really work.
I've tried to get other keeper leagues going, but they usually fall apart in year two - definitely in year 3.

yeah i love mlb keeper leagues but hard to get people to stay
I had a live draft last night in my fh league ..I picked 5th in 12 man league ..Went AP, Lacy, Bell, Charles..I took Antonio Brown Unless you getting AP I actually think AB is best in PPR league..PPR league coming back in second I took Gronk..and believe it or not at 28 took Andrew Luck I took TY YELDON and Ivory as backs..Sammie Watkins, Nelson Agholor, Shane Vereen (great PPR guy), Torrey Smith Chiefs D Cody Parker

Ugh - I'm actually unhappy about the draft. I went in with no strategy and kind of panicked with what was available. It didn't help that it was held at a bar with no cell phone reception or wifi. Thankfully, I printed a few sheets of paper that guided me through our. Here's my roster. Let me know what you think.

Thanks! They look good on paper but then you'll realize that a lot of similar bye weeks which weakens the team. Oh well
That draft was good..for 4 years ago..LOL no kidding aside..I think a good solid draft....love your QB, WR and 2 RB..TATE is good flex....Im not crazy about Larry Fitz..still has a role..but a little injured lately and John Brown and Floyd take his targets..depends where you got him...don't like COlston...long in the tooth also..but decent...but actually..the buzz is that BRANDON COLEMAN..6 6 230 out of Rutgers..2nd year guy is going to be a big factor for saints especially in red zone..I actually put a claim in for him tonight it will depend..I will drop Torrey Smith if I get him....MCFADDEN could be a home run..but of course..for his whole fantasy career can he stay healthy...and of course same for Foster...which is a boom or bust pick..ELi is a good backup...and Vernon Davis wasn't even drafted in my league..if you can IMHO I would look to waiver wire for backup/potential starter..Green of SD with Gates out 4 games...I think Eifert of Cincy can come on...Defense and kickers are a dime a dozen...both of yours are good...but my phiolosophy for my 16 round PPR FLEX draft is..
1) No kicker or defense till last 2 rounds...even with defenses I go week to week sometimes..playing best available free agent defense available matchup..and kickers are whatever....the best scoring offenses aren't always best kickers cos their teams don't kick many FG
2) RB are overrated...unless you get AP, LACY, CHARLES BELL...I don't didn't touch till 4th round...between RBBC and injuries..it can doom your season...
3) for most part I go with younger players....took Yeldon, Agholor, Cobb hoping one catches fire..theres always a rookie phenom or 2 lighting the league on fire........
4) I don't like to take more than one Jet..drives me insane watching games....I took Ivory..and later had a choice which I was agonizing over between MArshall and Sammie Watkins..went with Watkins, but rethinking it..bigger boom potential..but who knows w steadiness of Marshall...
5) I also like to look at the division guys play in.. for instance ..I think offensive guys in NFC East are more valuable than NFC WEST cos of the defenses....
with all this thinking..won once in 5 years....it all comes down to injuries of top 3 or 4
