Let me know if you guys can't see the picture but basically Sean, JI's founder, severed ties with a Scout and is back to being an independent fan site.
Very interested to see how that thing played out. Without that relationship screwup, we all wouldn't be here today so thank you for jumping ship!

I'm not going back to them. This is my home but obviously everyone can do what they please.
That Scout acquisition split up two great communities and gave birth to a few good ones as well.
It'll be interesting to see how everything plays out for sure. Hopefully we do not lose any members.
I'm not sure it's a matter of one or the other. One could do both.
In related news, this also means scout is back, as well, in a way.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the support. I do admit that it took us a while to get rid of the bickering amongst us -- lost some good members bc of it - but now we have a solid group of posters.
It took me a while to grow balls to ban people that were disruptive. I was a bit hesitant to ban people because those same people were early adapters to JFU. In either case, we are much better off now.
I just hope we get some of the original posters back that left as a result of the fighting.

i agree.. i hope the core members of JFU don't jump ship just because the shotgun wedding with JI & scout is over..
we've built a small but active community here..
They call scout's Jets board "the green and white report". Is that what it was always called?
Hopefully, it's not a matter of jumping ship. Even if some guys go back to JI or scout, I'd hope they would continue to post here.
I think it was for a while, yes. It went through a few variations, tied to different publications and secondary beat writers. Dan Leberfeld, for a while, then Kristian Dyer.

I totally agree with you. Perhaps this will funnel more traffic into JFU.
And as a former scout member, the JI deal was just awful for us. It was atrocious.
After having my email sold by Sooth and the subsequent flood of spam that required strengthening my spam filters to the point where even good email goes into the spam folder, I have no intention of ever even visiting the site. To hell with it.
Idk why but this made me crack up a little bit. I still get spam from JI/Scout and I unsubscribed a dozen times probably.

The only fan site I ever knew was Jetsinsider? I was actually shocked a at how quickly and radically JI changed virtually overnight. What I know since then is that every community has a different culture. I love jetsfansunited, I've actually come to like everyone here, albeit a rather small community. Theganggreen is an OK site but it's very unstable, hard to use, not really worth the aggravation. Jetsnation is a SHIT hole. I got banned from there for referring to Geno as a rodent. I haven't changed my opinion on that one iota. Never will.
