JFU Collective TOP 3 Mock Draft, NY JETS at #3

Considering the relatively low voter turnout, I think its fair to say the lead Josh Rosen has opened up in this poll is pretty much insurmountable.

Therefore the Jets are in and according to the JFU community, at least those who were willing to participate, the TOP 3 projects as follows:

1. BROWNS - Sam Darnold, QB, USC
2. GIANTS - Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
3. JETS - Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA

This was a tough call for me.

IMO Mayfield is the best QB in the draft, right now.

Allen has the highest ceiling based on his size, arm, mobility and awesome physical skills.

And Rosen is the most mechanically sound QB in the draft who can make every throw in the book and make it look pretty.

So I can give you some really good reasons to draft anyone of these QB's, and I can also cite their flaws, and all three have both.

But in the end it just came down to MY GUT, and everything about my gut tells me Mayfield is a winner who will instantly change the culture around this team.

So while its definitely a tough call, I am trusting my eyes and my gut and rolling the dice on Mayfield.

Darnold is the only QB I truly want. The rest I’m just hoping will pan out. Odds are none of them will. I picked Rosen because that’s who I would want, but I kinda want to see Baker in NY. I’m in a win win situation. If he wins a SB then I’m happy as a fan. If he ends up having sex with a tranny then I’m right. So I can’t lose.

Even though i'm worried about the medical on Rosen, it's Rosen who i picked. The Jets can't mess up his mechanics because their almost perfect now. He throws to all levels of the field effortlessly. He has a lightning quick release and is supposedly ultra bright. He has excelled in college the last three years, minus the games missed due to injury, and with a different offense each of those seasons.
He has the size, the arm strength, the intelligence to pick up an offense quickly and better yet be able to read defenses. I've read that his release is Marino like. He can move around the pocket to avoid the rush. All those traits remind me of Peyton Manning.
It's going to be interesting.
If not Rosen, then pick Mayfield, Please. I have a feeling that Josh Allen is going to bust and that is the absolute last thing us Jet fans need. I'm not rooting for him to bust, just feel like he will.Unless he's drafted by Miami or the Bills, then bust away.

I’ve been on record for months saying it should be Rosen. And based on the likelihood of Rosen being there at 3, I’m staying with it. I like Darnold, too, but I’m 90% certain he’s going #1 overall. McJet detailed Rosen’s attributes well. I’m not really worried about injuries with Rosen. He’s a winner. He can win soon. He’s got an edge that will play well in NY. He will be the Franchise QB that Jets fans have been longing for for years to come.

Rosen is the Chosen One.

Unless, of course, he does it on the field like he has done some of his other antics. I chose Rosen because he has both talent and maturity even though I am slightly concerned about that shoulder. That being said, even with the immaturity issues, I would prefer Mayfield over Allen.

I like both Allen and Rosen. I just feel Allen will be more of a project and Rosen should be ready when the season starts. I voted Rosen.

If the Jets go best player available at 3 and the Giants don't snatch up Barkley at two that's who we might wind up with.

I think Mac loves Josh Allen and would be very glad if he's there at #2. I think the Bills are hot for Allen and may move up two more times to get him. I can see them trading with the Colts to #6 and then trading that pick (and move) to the G-Men.
