Jordan Leggett was a four year contributor and two year starter for the Clemson Tigers. His production took a step forward with each progressing season and he proved to be one of many legitimate weapons in Clemson's high powered offense. At 6'5", 258 pounds, Leggett carries his weight comfortably. He has a lean, built frame that allows him to unlock his full athletic potential. Leggett is best known for his receiving ability. As a route runner, Leggett is capable, but unrefined. His feel for finding space in between zones and being physical at the route break to create separation is lackluster. Leggett is a smooth, natural pass catcher who does not have trouble tracking and holding onto the ball over the middle of the field.

High pointing the ball is not as much of a strength for Leggett as would be desired from a tight end, but he is not incapable. Once the ball is in his hands, Leggett shows a natural navigation of the field, as well as enough quickness and strength to tack on some yardage after the catch. That being said, Leggett's top end speed and burst is not what would be expected of someone with his lean frame. Leggett can block, too. He is not an overwhelming ball of power and physicality, but Leggett shows a willingness and understanding as a blocker that will give him a high floor as a blocker, as well as make him a versatile player who can play in-line and as a jumbo slot. Leggett lacks the stunning athleticism to match his frame, but his ability to naturally find the ball and be useful as a blocker should make him a nice No.2 tight end option.

No gray area with this pick.

Either he'll get motivated and live up to his potential, and we'll have a lethal weapon at TE, or he'll confirm the underachiever label that led to his slide in the draft and be out of the league in a few years. Its one or the other, the proverbial BOOM or BUST prospect.

if our coaches can light a fire under the kid to play to his natural ability, great!! this could end up being a fantastic late round get, at a position of need..

i'll reserve judgment on bowles' second hand picked staff to see if that happens, or doesn't..

Johnny Mitchell 2.0? I don't think so. He spoke about how he needs to step up his effort, I don't think Mitchell ever thought he had that problem.

if you are comparing him to anyone, would say he could very well be a more athletic Jeff Cumberland... has the potential but it is on him to take advantage of his opportunities...
