Apparently the Jets have traded a 2027 sixth for a seventh (year varies depending on source) and Jordan Meredith, Raiders C. They obviously want to give Geno the protection he's used to 
. Now there are Raiders' fans saying 'good riddance' but the Jets must think enough of the guy not to let him hit the open market. Unless they are that sure that they are going to waive Newman, it looks like one more OL and one less roster spot elsewhere.
