Already without Tom Brady for the first four weeks of the regular season, the New England Patriots may be down another playmaker, too.

Receiver Julian Edelman reportedly got injured in Tuesday's training camp practice. According to CSN New England, Edelman went off to the side of the field "in disgust," threw his helmet and was being looked at by the training staff on a cart.

Early indications are that Edelman may have re-injured his surgically-repaired left foot. Sunday, Edelman was activated off the physically unable to perform list. He had multiple foot surgeries this offseason.

Edelman, 30, has come on quite strong for the Patriots ever since he replaced Wes Welker. Edelman has caught 258 passes for 2,720 yards and 17 touchdowns from 2013 through 2015. Injuries, though, have been popping up more frequently in recent years.

In 2013, Edelman played a full 16 games. That is the only time he's accomplished such a feat in his eight-year NFL career. He has missed nine games his last two seasons.

With Brady set to sit the first month of the season stemming from his role in 'Deflategate,' the Patriots can't afford to lose many more playmakers. Jimmy Garoppolo is slated to start in Brady's place. On the Patriots' unofficial depth chart, Keshawn Martin is listed behind Edelman. Martin caught 24 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns for the Patriots last year.

The Patriots will face the Jets in Week 12 and Week 16. The Giants face New England the final week of the preseason.
