I' m sure everyone here has spent many a Sunday cursing and ranting at their tv. For me, as time goes by, I no longer yell during Jet games at all. I am never surprised by anything. not even 2 pick 6's and a safety... And I actually just laugh at them now and have no trouble sleeping after an embarrasing lose.

anybody else become so used to it like this?

when brady wins, I still rant and swear. and when the Saints lost, putting brady in first place to stay, (based on his easy schedule ) my head just about exploded

I with you 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 percent here. I stopped buying the direct tv NFL ticket about 3-4 years ago. I could care less if they lose. I don’t get excited not one bit when they do something good. Even if Darnold does something good I don’t get excited. Simply because I knew somewhere along the line, maybe even the next play or series they will find away to fuck it up.

I fully expect them to go 0-16 this year. I won’t be surprised if Adam Gase is back next year. I’ll be PISSED AS FUCK but I won’t be surprised. I watched them and either shake my head in sorry for the players and for me that I’m still a fan of this shit show or laugh at them and me for the same exact reason.

I think every year and this is probably for the past ten years that I wish I could just drop this team and root for someone else or just not for a team period but I just can’t do that. Now that is an issue that just haven’t figured out yet. Maybe that’s all just apart of being a fanatic and true fan and a fucking idiot at the same damn time.

I only get pissed when the Cowboys comeback from 20 down with a ridiculous onside kick. I have to listen to the delusional Cowboy fans, but I don't even care about the Jets anymore. I'm focused on winning the Stanley Cup even if its a long shot.

I'm from Dallas and can't root for the Cowboys. That would be even more frustrating to watch a team with all that talent on offense and be 1-2 and should be 0-3. I just watched the Stars make a magical run to the Stanley Cup finals. What a great distraction and now these fucktards are going to be an embarrassment on Thursday. Even though I want them to lose horribly I know they will win by double digits and save Gase's job. So I have said that when Darnold is cut or traded that I will follow the team he goes to because I like this kid that much. He got a raw deal in NY. He needed to sit and learn. He was thrown into the fire and never supported from Day 1. The right coach could make him a good NFL starter maybe even great IMO.

My wife has told me many times to find another team to root for, but how can a person do that? I guess you would need a crash course in their history, their ups and downs, their star players, great games, past miseries etc. With the way the league is going with the politics etc, it's just not worth it.
Besides, it makes sense to pick a team that's pretty good, not another perennial loser - and that's being a front-runner, isn't it? The worst kind of fan...

I agree that is why I picked the cards too. You never get put down for being a last-loser. When I take off my jet or cardinal cap people always put money into it. Then they pat me on the back & say there is always next year

Know when your on a three lane highway, and stuck in traffic. The lane you’re in is always at a stand still while the other lanes are moving somewhat. Then you finally say, fuck this shit, cut over to the other lane, move about 50 yards then BAM, that lane is now standing still and the other two are now moving and you’re looking around like, WHAT THE FUUUUUCK!
That’s exactly what would happen if I was to ever switch from the Jets to another team.

I was an Eagles fan until Kotite was fired and I followed him to the Jets
