Just heard back from Mel Gray on Maynard

I was always curious on what Maynard was like in 1973 on the Cardinals for a short stay.

He told me by that time "he had lost his speed" I always thought that but now i know

Hey Mel is a cool guy.......I was at the yale bowl watching the giants & cards when some little giants fan kid was giving me a hard time.....Hart threw a bomb & mel ran past all the giants.......I took the kids hat & pulled it down over his eyes.
