Sam missed the first three. [/B]
Yea blah blah blahIn today's Post, a lot of blame as usual was put on the Jets for his shortcomings. The backfield, the poor WRs unit, the OL, etc.
We'll see if Carolina set the table for him as he wants it.
Please. No New Jersey’s for you. How about going retro? Namath? Klecko? I still wear a Chrebet on game days. The cream rises to the top. We will see on Sam. I thought he had the goods, like a lot of others. I even bought his Jersey. LOL according to my wife I am the Kiss of Death when it comes to that. So might be my fault. LOL.
I doubt they will go into the start of the season with ZERO experience in the QB room. In training camp, sure, give the kids some reps. I fully believe that there will be a late veteran add at roster cuts before week one.I do see a potential problem with this. With Darnold, even though he missed some time we still had Teddy Bridgewater and Ryan Fitzpatrick (I believe it was) to fall back on just in case Darnold wasn’t ready. Now of course Darnold came in and either outplayed or play neck and neck with both of them. So they went with Darnold and it just didn’t turn out in the long run.
This situation with Wilson is entirely different. We have no veteran QB to count on for a couple weeks and teach Wilson just in case he isn’t ready. So this all falls on Wilson, the coaches and the rest of the team and he needs every rep that he can get. Hopefully he comes in and gets the job done but who knows at this point!
I doubt that the disagreement is over money in excess of slot. As said earlier, it is about terms like offset and guaranteed payments. I read that 29 other teams out of 32 view the offset the same way the Jets do. Jaguars do not, that is why Lawrence is signed already. Why is it about Wilson? Douglas is a hard nosed man when it comes to signing players. Just ask Maye. Is Wilson being low balled in comparison to Lawrence's contract? I'm sure Wilson's reps are not asking for more than what Lawrence signed for.
This isn't the fault of Joe Douglas. This is all on Zach Wilson and his camp.
Joe Douglas has signed all 18 of his Rookies dating back to last year.
Zach Wilson? Now the only unsigned spoiled brat who's uncle is loaded with $400,000,000 (ever seen Zach Wilson's mom and dad's home? Millionaire status).
This kid is a little rich and spoiled brat and how dare any Jets fans blame JOE DOUGLAS when Zach Wilson on purpose signed the same Bosa agent who held out like this with Bosa?!?!?
I'm disappointed in Zach Wilson. He's showing me he's the opposite of a team leader @ QB and he couldn't care less about being on the field with his teammates.
Zach Wilson wasn't being a "leader" by going to Islanders games because that's like me saying both Dan Feeney and Mike White were team leaders by going to Islanders games and truth be told? Zach just wanted to see his face on TV in order to get NY Media spotlight but going to an Islanders/Knicks game doesn't make you a "team leader".
This kids dad is a die-hard Patriots fan and leading up to the draft his own dad was liking Twitter posts that suggested his son did not want to become a NY Jet.
This kid isn't hungry man. Any poor kid would've signed this contract a long time ago and cried tears of joy out of happiness. His uncle his mom's baby brother is worth $400 million and have you ever seen their home?!?!? Millionaire family. This kid is a punk and he's spoiled rotten and I always knew it before we drafted him too.
He's not a team leader because team leaders would put their teamates ahead of themselves and be at training camp right now and wouldn't be late to work.
All I'm saying is don't blame Joe Douglas. Joe Douglas has signed all 18 of his Rookies dating back to last year.
Zach Wilson is the only 2021 unsigned Rookie. That's a Zach Wilson problem not a JD error.
I'd love to see James Morgan as an underdog kill training camp and let Zach Wilson rot away on the bench for 4-5 years idc anymore.
