So, should Fields start against the Iggles?
If it's my call, he plays at least ten snaps or one series, whichever is greater, with the firsts.
What are we defending by not playing him, it's not as if he's a known commodity like Mahomes or Allen? He needs to show that he can complete a couple of downfield passes if only to make the Steelers think twice about filling the box. Others like Mason Taylor and Membou need the experience. If it's against the Philly second string, so much the better.
If he gets injured we have two weeks to coach up an alternative guy in the QB position, which we won't have if he gets injured in the first ten plays against the Steelers.

No. They should sit all starters...
Lots of positions have young players fighting for a roster spot. They should be playing so coaches get more game action to evaluate them. Cut down day comes real fast now and 40 guys have to be released
Why the same place every year?????that's like watching the same team lose every year for 55

The past few years all the starters sit-down opening day.
