Well the team has given up on him... I think that has to be a testament to Bowles' coaching more than the character of the players... Not to say their character isn't in question but clearly the perfect storm for a disaster of a season.. But coming off a 10-6 season you would think there would have been more desire on this team than what they have shown... The DEFENSE is atrocious.. Someone on another thread mentioned the defense as a big reason for this season and at first I was like no it's all Fitz and Bowles..... But I was wrong ... They suck this year

His team mailed it in last night. What kind of coach has a team come to the stadium unprepared to play? The team went 10-6 last year with a lot of the same players. So please explain to me again why Bowles deserves better?

I'm sorry, but as one of Bowles' strongest supporters here, that is laughable.
This is why Max Kellerman should be happy to cover boxing, and stop taking an ESPN paycheck to act like he knows any other sport. He's a boxing guy, and he does that quite well. He knows nothing about anything else. Stick to the ring.

I think it is directly related to the character of the individual players especially its "leaders". As a former high level athlete, I never needed a coach to motivate me to show up. When you are a kid then a coach might motivate you, but as a grown ass man you should be motivated by pride. This team doesn't have the respect of each other. There is zero chemistry. Outside of Leonard Williams, I can't name one player that stands out as a leader and this guy is 22 years old.
Bowles has his faults, but these players need to be held accountable and cut.
Where is Mo? It seems once he got the contract, he became a different guy. And Sheldon is an AWFUL influence on him. I only hope Sheldon's attitude doesn't infect Leonard, as well.
Williams seems like he wants to be great. Sheldon and Mo care about money.

I'm sure you could find one or two guys, but this team has no heart and that is on the players.

What a crock of shit! Kellerman should pull his head out of his a$$. Woody is a very good owner, he's just made some bad hires through the years. It happens. This team could easily rebound if the GM starts to draft better and they fire the HC...........
I've change my mind about firing Bowles. I know Players have quit on him, I know Players are not being disciplined & allowed to come in out of shape & not attend meetings & more. Buut its the OC & DC that allowed Players on both sides of the ball to do this. So Bowles needs to fire this week the Offense & Defensive Coordinators& bench the Players not playing hard for rest of the season! This will send a message to Players & coaching that this BS will no longer be tolerated. If Bowles doesnt fire both OC-DC for allowing Players to act like this,then Bowles himself needs to go, by not being ready to be a Head Coach. I'm very embarrassed to be a JETS fan watching Players flat out QUIT. So Keep Bowles if he fires both Coordinators & if not....BYE!
Its getting worse. 68 ,2 teams I liked met in Playoffs (Jets vs Raiders) & Jets going & winning Super Bowl 3 was so incredible made me a Jets fan. But since moving in with Giants ,made them a second rate team & a laughing stock with Players ripping Jets off for big paydays & quitting. If this nonsense keeps going on with Players getting big paydays & then quitting ,then I'll quit being a fan & go to me 2nd favorite team the Raiders! Makes me sick being a fan of a team of QUITTERS. Please fix this now!
