PFT -- A well-traveled receiver may have finally found a home.

Receiver Kenbrell Thompkins, who made an impact for the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2013 but who thereafter bounced around the league, has re-signed with the Jets, accepting his restricted free agency tender.

Appearing in seven games last year with the Jets, Thompkins caught 17 passes for 165 yards. He had been promoted to the active roster in late October, after joining the practice squad in early October. The prior month, he’d been cut by the Raiders, signed to the New England practice squad, and released from the New England practice squad, all within the course of 30 days.

Under the terms of the deal, Thompkins is due to make $1.671 million in 2016.

I like the signing but he has to get better hands even if has to purchase someone else's hands and sew them onto his arms. Just too many drops. Fitz played really well last season and the receivers must aid his maturation and confidence by catching the ball when their number is called. After all, isn't that what receivers are around for?

Wow I could not sleep for weeks waiting on this guy to sign. I am going out a double my season tickets now.

Sorry this may be unfair given all the things that went wrong in that last Buffalo game. But I keep seeing this guy running down the sidelines with only air and the end zone in front of him. Our whole season landed in his hands then on the ground. Screw this guy

I'm sorry but if you're counting on Kenbrell Thompkins being an answer for your team at Wr, than be prepared to be disappointed. K Thompkins just isn't that good a Wr, and eventually will be off of this Jets team.( good chance doesn't even make the Jets 53 man roster.

this is an article from PFT(Pro Football Focus) not my opinion lol... I believe that Kenbrell Thompkins has potential but for me I can not get that drop out of my head that is why I am hoping that the Jets front office drafts a wide out in this year's draft...

Devin Smith is not the answer was a waste of pick last year's draft and Joe Anderson albeit hungry to belong has some upside is also not the answer... Basically right now it is a receiving core of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker with H-back Quincy Enunwa as the core depth chart right now... Jeremy Ross was brought in to be a return specialist he offers little help at the receiver position but I could be wrong...

I like Kenbrell Thompkins. Sure, he's had a few drops in his career, but he's also looked very fast and athletic after the catch when he does bring it in. I like him as a depth player. He will make the 53 man roster.
