Great to see Kevin Mawae finally get in. Long overdue and looks like he’s going in represented by the New York Jets. From what I saw at the Gold jacket ceremony yesterday they had his pictures up wearing a Jets uniform only. I’m looking forward to hearing his induction speech tonight. Wonder now how long it will take Nick Mangold to go in? Will he be a first ballot or will they make him wait a-bit? Dbrick Ferguson unfortunately may not get in period or he’ll end up being one of those senior class guys. Going on twenty years after the fact.
Tony Gonzalez being the only TE first ballot HOFer out of the other six guys before him speaks to the amount of what he accomplished on the field and respect he’s earned. Same with Ed Reed and Champ Bailey. Even though they aren’t the only first ballot guys at their positions to be selected. Ty Law was a well deserved induction also. No he wasn’t a first ballot guy but he was just as deadly as a Champ Bailey or Darrell Revis and we all know Darrell will be a no doubt first ballot guy.
