If the Jets give Geno a full year under Gailey's offense we will fully see the progress by the middle to end of this season and beyond. I have a feeling Geno is going make people eat crow
Optimism about Geno? Watch out for incoming

I thought Marcus Williams played well toward the end of the year.
Yea me too. He was last year's best cb for the jets

I hope you're right. It would be a huge boost to this team if it happens. But the "supporting cast" argument has run it's course. No more excuses this year. He's got just about everything around him he needs. Put up or shut up in 2015.
MaybeThe supporting cast around Geno have been bad, that's not debatable . He has not played well, but the skill position players have been terrible

Maybe
Or maybe Geno is just a very bad NFL QB.
At least he won't have the weapons, coaching and management excuses this preseason
Not even close to accurate.Nope . What is he does have is the support of Most Jet fans, so far this preseason . You are In the minority

if smith in a sink or swim season is ends up "swimming" he will have earned all the credit in the world & he will absolutely get that credit from me..Geno Smith has thrown zero interceptions through the the first four days of training camp.
Considering Geno has been picked off 34 times in 30 NFL games, this qualifies as news. He's taken the vast majority of first-team reps and been "solid." Armed with a Chan Gailey scheme that suits his skill set and legit NFL-caliber weapons for the first time, we're expecting Geno to take a significant step forward toward two-QB league relevance.
