It's that time of year. Jets have not leaked anything. The one positive of this regime. The don't leak. Reporters are just putting out anything that pops into their heads. Hughes who started the Wentz rumors yesterday said Geno smith was Reichs first choice this afternoon just hours after saying the Jets wanted either Tua or Murray. They go on record saying 20 different things and then claim they were right if one comes to fruition. Fields got 30 million not 40. And 10 of it is due this season minus any money he gets signed for.
I'd expect car to get a longer deal, he'd be viewed as a starting QB more than a bridge QB. I could see a 4 year deal with big signing bonus low salary for year one and 2 with an out in year 3 or 4. Jets really screwed up when they pivoted away from him to sign Rodgers.

Imo, at this point, Carr and Geno are the same with a slight advantage to Geno.

Well they haven't made any moves that make me think they are winning more games.
Well they've passed on Kyler Murray, that has to count for something. A lot of smart small-time decisions by Moggie that mean that we don't have to reach with our draft picks. Injury-prone guys and penalty machines replaced by solid alternatives. But it IS a WIP.
