TODAYS GAME TOLD ME THAT DARNOLD HAS TO GO AND IF THERE IS ANY HOPE, IT JUST ISN'T WITH THE JETS. HE NEEDS EVERYTHING TO BE AVERAGE TO ABOVE AVERAGE AND THAT SHOULDN'T BE THE CASE FOR A FIRST ROUND PICK, THIRD OVERALL. HOPEFULLY WE CAN GET A THIRD OR FOURTH ROUND PICK FOR HIM. IT ALSO TOLD ME THAT THE 2ND OVERALL PICK HAS TO BE A QB. FIELDS OR LAWRENCE, PICK YOUR CHOICE, IT DOESN'T MAKE ME A DAMN DIFFERENCE.

LAST NOTE: GASE SHOULDN'T WALK OUT THAT LOCKER ROOM AS THE HEAD COACH.

I agree. I was leaning towards Wilson..... but after the Sugar Bowl..... I’m leaning towards Fields. Either one is going to be a vast improvement over Darnold. We all watched how shithead Gase ruined Darnold. So our next HC better be prepared to work to either prospects strengths. I don’t care what we get for Darnold , I just want him gone along with Gase

You only replace Darnold if you believe Lawrence is a once-in-a-generation talent. Otherwise, you're just changing for change's sake.

Obviously, I didn't expect Darnold's collapse to be this drastic. His regression puts him pretty far back.

I would like for the new coach to have a say over whether Darnold is kept or if the team drafts his replacement and trades him. At this point, I think both the Jets and Darnold need a fresh start. Now, if the new HC really believes in him, fine. I will put my trust in him. But I no longer see him as the viable second option behind Lawrence.
