Lets look at the lineup….. (for next year)

LT. Becton. Lets face it…he isn’t going anywhere. Better in the power game than in zone
LG. AVT. Stud…. Although not great today. Can play in both power and zone
C McGovern…. Just cut this guy or backup center/RG. Draft the top center 2nd pick Rd1
RG Van Roten ….just cut NOW. Play the Dr…….let see what we got
RT Moses….. Not impressed. Look for a good FA RT to battle with Fant. Moses is good in the power game…but not zone
Fant…. Great swing tackle. Keep and let him battle for RT
WR1….draft the top wide out 1st pick Rd1 (Davis is not a 1)
WR2 Davis….. he would be fine here
Slot. Moore. Can play both…. But lets get him in his more natural position
WR4. Cole…. Decent player and would serve well in this role
Berrios and Mims……see ya… we can do better
TE. Dump them all. Pay the bucks for a good FA and draft one in Rd 4
RB. Carter and Johnson are fine for now
QB Wilson…. Lets face it… he is here for awhile. We will see if he learned anything
QB 2 Flacco….. maybe he can mentor Zach. Let him and White battle it out

Defense

C Lawson…. Lets see how he come back. I’m hopeful ( draft and EDGE 1st pick Rd 2)
JFM. Move inside to DT. He is better there than as a EDGE
Williams….. keep but I’m not impressed so far this year. Looks lazy to me although he will exceed his sack total of last year (8 or 9)
Foley and Rankins ( keep for rotational players)
Huff Good player but situational pass rusher at best
Remainder of DL…. Rotational players at best
MLB. Mosely… final year of his deal Keep for 1 more year
OLB Davis sucks….adios
OLB Sherwood… needs to bulk up. May be ok (draft 1 3rd round)
Nasirldeen… move back to safety
Cashman adios
Williams Rotational LB for depth (keep)
remainder of LBS. Depth or cut
CB Hall. Move to CB 2 and draft a shutdown CB (2nd pick rd 2) Echols is a rotatIonal CB
Slot CB. Carter II. he is fine here
SS. Davis. Big hitter but sucks in coverage our new box safety

I revised your list and fixed your idea of who plays what...

There is no need to move players around... Hamsah is not a safety he will be fine in his second year at linebacker but Mosley who is a middle linebacker in a 34 is playing outside linebacker in a 43 but he doesn't fit this cover 3 scheme he is always out of position... Jamien Sherwood is our middle linebacker...

There are too many linebackers in the upcoming draft that not only can the Jets draft starters but also draft depth from linebacker position or safety position...

We have 4 corners moving forward on the outside, we have two nickel corners but technically if you need to move one, move Guidry to strong safety his speed, hitting power and tackling ability fits that position... He is better when facing the quarterback rather playing man coverage with his back to the quarterback like today he got beat like a drum...

Defensive Line after Carl Lawson, Bryce Huff at RE, they could restructure Shaq Lawson's $9 M for 2022 while keeping an affordable Tim Ward under his rookie salary... Inside is the question, Q is the mainstay and they will likely bring back Foley at least one year extension... Sheldon Rankins is a viable role player but they will need to either draft someone or bank that Jonathan Marshall will develop into Nathan Sheperd's replacement...

Ashtyn Davis is a cover safety sideline to sideline athleticism... They will either sign a free agent behind or draft someone... But they will either make the move I suggested and move Guidry to strong safety or draft a starter like Lewis Cine with Elijah Riley who they just signed off the Eagles practice squad...

Offense too much help is needed... Draft RG, RT, 2 TEs, 2 WRs, 1 RB... No need to get rid of McGovern unless you can get a draft pick for him he is under contract for next season and the real problem is to the right of him at RG...

Corey Davis right now doesn't belong on this team...
I wanted to draft him when he came out, but I dunno... This game plan, scheme thrives on slot receivers... It even puts Mims on the outside...

As for JFM he is an interior defensive lineman playing DE and like I just posted on another thread Q. only plays 62% of the snaps on defense... JFM plays 54% snaps and we paid him like he plays 80 to 90 %... His contract extension does not kick in until the 5th day of the new league year so Joe Douglas and coaching staff will have to determine if he has a legit role on this team or trade him...
